Breakfast is included and eggs are made to order. Rothenburg is a classic medieval village that is very well preserved. A car is definitely not needed. The train station is a fifteen minute walk, but a 7 minute taxi ride if you don't want to haul your luggage. There is no elevator or air conditioning - a typical old style German hotel with lots of atmosphere and a very friendly staff.
Rooms were on the small size and dated side but they were super clean and comfortable. Bedded was amazing. Loved that the windows open to let in some fresh air!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was great.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rothenburg!
Good breakfast, excellent location. Parking in front 8 euros per night.
The lady at the reception was very kind.

SECOND REVIEW: Gasthof Zum Breiterie, Rothenburg
Beautiful, small family hotel, with a great restaurant (as I was told, I'm a vegan, so I starved in Germany), pretty room. The hotel is located inside the town walls, close to everything. The price was ok (65 EUROS/91.60 CAN), considering that Rothenburg is such a touristic town. Free internet, free parking across the hotel.
WiFi is not free
The rooms will most likely suck in the summer, with such tiny windows.
The bed is way to small and the mattress slightly uncomfortable.
The window is really small and doesn't really open.
Pros:
The location is perfect and it has free parking right around the corner.
Free Breakfast is a great bonus and it has quite a variety.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Make sure you join the night watchman walkabout tour at night, the guide will tell you all you need to know about the town and he is really funny.
"If possible, ask for a room away from the main street to reduce outside noise while sleeping."Read full review
