I was eating in this restaurant with some friends during our trip in Germany. We expected it more expensive, cause the place is impresive, but the prices are like in any other italian restaurant and the food was very good. Also nice personal
We had a nice one night stay here. On arrival we gained the impression that this place is primarily a restaurant, but is also a hotel. The staff were a bit busy when we turned up i had to help a guy find our name on his computer. But all was ok, our booking was there and we had a nice room on the second floor. The room is nicely done out and is quiet large. We also ate at the restaurant which was a nice break from a German menu, although the service between first course and main was delayed. The breakfast was nice, not as much choice as other hotels we have stayed at on this trip, but for us it was fine. Lots of fruit, yoghurt and meats, cheese and bread + juice and coffee. The hotel is a good 50mins walk to the centre, but if you walk 5mins you can get a tram to the centre and is very cheap. This is a lovely old grand building, obviously someone's home in days gone by and is now a decent hotel.…
Everything was as we wait. The hotel, the garden restaurant was good. We recommend. If we go there once more we may choose the the sam hotel. Parking possibility is an another good side. We felt as in our house.
This was the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Germany. It was like staying in a palace. The rooms are huge and amazingly decorated. The Italian restaurant downstairs has fantastic food. The only downside was that noise from the rest of the hotel carried, so we were woken up one night by other guests coming in in the middle of the night and then talking and moving furniture for an hour. The staff doesn't necessarily speak English, but we got by with a bit of English, German, and Italian mixed with gestures, and they are welcoming. Being away from the main tourist attractions was fine, as we had a car. Even though the hotel is on a corner with a major intersection, the windows are double paned glass and there are trees around the patio, so most of the time it was like we were off in our own little corner of Italy.…
Unfortunately we didnt arrive till late as got held up in torrential rain on the motorcycle so were wet and tired. Didnt get chance to see augsburg at all. Just had a late meal in the restaurant which was very good then off to bed. I beleive it is quite a way from the old town as we were going to walk in after dinner but was told it was a bit of a way.
