We booked 5 nights in the Grand Orphee which was recommended by our German friends. After a 12h flight we arrived very early in the morning and did not really expect the room to be ready. To our suprise we were aked if we would stay for 1 night but we had a reservation slip. Unfortunately the hotel was full... More

Just checked in and went to our room, cute place, price is right, location right in pedestrian old town center. What a find. Front desk was helpful immediately and the cafe feels like old Paris bohemian perfection. Walk around the corner to historic sites and squares as well as contemporary shopping. .

Directly in the center of this beautiful city the very charming Orphee hotel is situated in an old building. The hotel and the restaurant in the ground floor are in French 19th century style. Each room is decorated differently, you immediately feel at home. The breakfast is also very good, no buffet, but you order what you like.

I here ever time I am in Regensburg. This hotel is quite special: no room is the same, lots of posters and paintings that breathe a French and Italian atmosphere, without turning into kitch or clutter. Of course it is clean. I mostly stay in the 'Kleines Haus'. Don't book a room there if you have trouble climbing stairs, stay... More

We stayed at Hotel Orphee several times and is always was a great joy! The rooms are oozing truly historic charms and everything is done not to spoil the approximately 600 years of history one can feel in the cracking floorboards. The bathrooms sometimes feel a bit too period for a modern traveller... Breakfast is a joy and the hotel... More

We were supposed to be staying in their budget hotel around the corner but they upgraded us to a room in the main hotel. The room was huge, decorated in French Parisian style, we loved it! Every day we got chocolates, red wine, peanuts and water replenished in our room. Breakfast was included but instead of a buffet it was... More

During a recent business trip I did stay at the Orphee for 3 nights. Hotel is perfectly located in the city center of Regensburg. Orphee was a recommendation from a colleague who is staying there quite often. I learned from him that the rooms are all arranged in a different design. My room was nice and cleaned up perfectly. we really enjoyed this lovely hotel. every room is different, the design is like a small hotel in the french countryside equipped with 'antiques' and nostalgic stuff from the flee market. the atmosphere is amazing and you will have your breakfast in the nice bistrot-style restaurant. the staff is lovely, you will find a small bottle of house wine and... Perfectly situated French hotel in the center of Regensburg, and it’s amazing. Old wooden beams from above accentuate the warm, coziness feel of the rooms. Windows with wooden shutters open allowing for fresh air throughout or, even better, close for complete darkness - Such a great feature. Our room was quiet and extremely comfortable. A desk/chair and separate 2 chairs... More

A rather quirky hotel in a beautiful location in old Regensburg; first impression of the hole-in-the-wall and somewhat shabby reception took me back to my youth hosteling days, however the rooms are spacious and comfortable with atmosphere galore. Bathroom of German quality and therefore excellent. Minor complaints were that the hotel was cold -heaters turned off in my room and... More
