I stayed for 4 night with my brother and his fiancé. We were really welcome by Moritz at reception who gave us a great restaurant recommendation as we had arrived after 10 hours of travelling and were famished.

The location is great. It’s within a minutes walk to bus/tram/train stops and only 45 minutes from the airport by train.

Our rooms were on the 6th floor and located together. They were well appointed with USB ports, and a clock radio with a charger. The sound proofing was great. Couldn’t hear anything outside when the windows were closed.

There was a concert in the bar on the first night which created a great atmosphere.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming especially the Croatian barman who greeted us every night warmly and welcomed us in. The courtyard was a great spot for a drink and to wind down after the day out sightseeing.

Thanks for a lovely stay aloft Munich and thanks to your wonderful staff for a great welcome.

I chose this hotel for our 7 night stay in Munich as it was a Marriott property and perfectly located across from the Hauptbanof, and we were doing several day trips. Admittedly, I was a bit hesitant based on some reviews about the area, but there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I was traveling with my adult daughter, and never once did we feel the least bit unsafe. I would absolutely stay here again. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and felt at home right away. I had a room with 2 twin beds, but they were more like full or queen size. The room was clean, modern and plenty spacious for the 2 of us and our luggage. I also liked that the shower and vanity area were separate, so one of us could get ready while the other showered. We had a nice hot breakfast included in our stay as a Marriott titanium member. We used Uber a few times, and it was easy to get to anywhere. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Marienplatz. Note: there is an underground passage to the Marienplatz, which we didn't know about the first time we went, so walked down the street a bit to cross. This is a fantastic hotel, and I highly recommend!

Very convenient location across from Munich central station. Easy to get anywhere in the area via s-bahn or u-bahn. We arrived with a lot of dirty laundry and were happy to find that they had washers & dryers for only 2€/load. Had good breakfast each morning. Room was very quiet, with a comfortable bed. Front desk people were very helpful, and spoke good english, whoch we appreciated since we don't speak german. Can't think of any complaints at all; we would stay here again.

This hotel is right across the road from the main station which is great after a long travel day to get there, the rooms where also very spacious and we had a king size bed. It’s affordable and clean. My only issue with it is that we paid in advance for our room but when we arrived we were asked for a credit card to provide a €50 per night deposit, so for four nights we had to pay €200 even though we had already paid for our room in full. This not included in any of the booking details either as it was totally unexpected, I understand asking for a credit card for reference but charging a €50 per night deposit on something you are already paid for was ridiculous. For this reason I probably wouldn’t return.

this hotel was a wonderful surprise! The location was perfect for arriving at the main train station and for walking to most of the area attractions. Breakfast was definitely worth the $14 charge just for the convenience. The rooms were spotless and the staff very friendly and helpful, the only thing that needs improvement is the evening meals which are basically optional frozen dinners. That is not so much of a big deal though because there is so many amazing restaurants in the area. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Munich our room was a junior suite, which was spacious and very comfortable for a family of four laundry is free, which is also amazing especially when you’re traveling around Europe.

The Aloft Munich is approx 50m away from the southern exit from Munich Central Train Station. It’s location could not be better for people using the train station and visiting Munich.

It is modern and secure (key card required for the lift up and stairs access). I think it is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in even though the door closes with a thump, I didn’t hear anything outside the room or window during my stay.
We had booked two rooms which were requested to be connecting or next to each other and with city views. This message did not seem to make it to the desk because originally the rooms were not together and neither had a city view. After some negotiations over a couple of days the issue was resolved but it highlighted that making the effort to specify certain requirements can be a waste of time.

The breakfast was excellent but it felt like the hotel did not have sufficient seats for breakfast when compared to the number of rooms. The buffet breakfast could be overwhelmed quickly and the poor staff had no chance to refill against the hoards of people piling their plates up! Plan for your breakfast to be earlier rather than later.

The bar area was lovely and very relaxing.

Overall, definitely recommended and we would stay again.

Next to central train station, about 15 mins leisurely walk to Marainplatz. Rooms (two separate full size beds) are a good size, quiet and clean (hair dryer, iron, toiletries by dry bar, bedside charger). Gym 24/7 with free weights, pull down/lat, adjustable chest/shoulder press, yoga mat and cardio. Bar in property and Bavarian/Italian restaurant next door. Stowed luggage for free.
Negative : since next to station, you may have to dodge a lot of people
Best: Staff (almost all - apart for this girl who threw attitude at check out) … goes out of their way to accommodate (got locked out at 5am and was assisted by newly hired night front desk, made sure I got sorted out without waking other ppl in my party)

Great location, comfortable room, wonderful 3 night stay. We arrived around 10 in the morning after an early morning flight and train ride. Very convenient to be right across the street from the train station. We asked to drop off our bags but they were able to check us in early. I understand this is not always possible, but we appreciated it so much and were grateful to the front desk for this. They were very friendly.

The room was spacious and comfortable. I was warned to bring our own washcloths and conditioner to Germany but the spotless bathroom was equipped with attached shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel containers as well as washcloths. A nice touch was the different types of charging cords available on the nightstand between the 2 beds.

There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. There are a few people out begging and sleeping on the street a little further down but we were never approached by them and walked by many times. I didn't get that gritty feeling you sometimes get near train stations. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to Marienplatz. After a couple times we realized we could go underground at the subway station (I think Karlsplatz) on the way and come out on the other side of the one busy street on the way.

We had the buffet breakfast one morning. At 14 euros per person for Bonvoy members, we thought it was worth it and enjoyed it. We ate in the outside courtyard. There was a nice variety of food and beverages and even some soft pretzels.

I would definitely stay here again if I get to return to Munich!

Aloft offers very consistent quality. If you have stayed in one, you have stayed in them all. Clean rooms and reasonable amenities. Enough said. My reason for writing this review is to offer some insights into the laundry amenities at this location. There are 2 washers, 3 dryers. I recommend doing only very small loads because they dryers take a very long time to dry (think hours). If you want to do a full load with jeans etc, there is a laundromat (City Dry Clean) just down the road at 6 Bayerstr. They are open 6am-midnight seven days a week. Definitely worth paying a few Euros to wash and dry your clothes quickly. Clean, safe environment.

On this trip we stayed in three different cities, three different hotels. Of the other hotels one was very high end, one was not. Both had twin beds. Twin beds are OK to sleep in but when you look at them they look like they belong in a military barracks or a childs room. When I got into my room in the Aloft hotel it hit me, full size beds. Wow. But also a fully working refrigerator, a desk and a chair, a nice bathroom set up with a sink outside the shower / toilet area so someone could wash up while some else showers. Lots of room, lots of storage space, lots of hangers,
Kind of amazing because in the US the Aloft chain is akin to the more spartan European hotels, this Aloft is better than any Aloft I stayed at in the US. Oh and it is right across the street from the train station. Oh I almost forgot, a coffee machine in the room which is standard in the US but not in Europe.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Aloft Hotel is directly opposite the main railway station. The bus stop is also there. So you must just cross the road.

Not that I was aware of. However, the train station is right across the street and that has routes that go right to the airport. That's what our group did and it was easy travel. About 30-40 min train ride to airport.
