We were looking for a convenient hotel to visit various parts of town and we sure found one. Hotel has a parking garage, so we just left the car there for all five days and followed a suggestion of the young receptionist, who suggested to buy a public transportation multi-day pass for all four of us. The tram stop was just outside a few steps away and it took us everywhere where we wanted or needed to go. There was even the oldest brewery Augustiner Bier Garden within walking distance as an added bonus to our visit. Hotel has clean and efficient rooms, excellent breakfast and above all, very friendly and helpful staff. Will stay here again next time!

Really good hotel starting with great welcoming and helpful FOH member of staff, clean and comfortable room with crispy white bedlinen. Good breakfast. Check-out was quick and the nice lady on the reception desk gave me a jar of honey produced locally, which was a very nice treat. The hotel itself located in a very good location, a short walk from tram stop and train station. Certainly a lovely stay and will come back to stay in this hotel again for my next visit to Munich hopefully soon. PS: would be great if the room can have USB sockets for charging phone/tablets etc.

I find it hard to believe this hotel is rated 4.5 out of of 5. The hotel is good for a quick stay but that’s it. The twin beds are essentially prison cots with a thin mattress and the pillow is the worst I’ve ever used it has no stuffing. The AC in the room doesn’t work so the window has to be opened as it’s extremely warm. The tram is currently not running out front either making it a walk to get to the public transportation.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the shower has good water pressure and lots of hot water. For a quick one night stay fairly close to the central station it’s ok other than that I’d look elsewhere.

I stayed for a few nights when visiting Munich in May and it was a great location for sightseeing. It is a little bit out of the main centre, so not as busy, but it has a tram stop outside. This makes it easy to get in and out of the city centre with no problem. The hotel was large, clean and well decorated. The room was spacious and was perfect for a solo traveller. The reception area also has a bar area which was okay if you wanted a few drinks in the evening. There is also the hotel next door. Staff were friendly and the breakfast had a wide variety each morning. Would recommend.

This is our favorite hotel in Munich and we have been returning here time after time. It is comfortable, with great breakfast buffet, and most of all, very convenient to anywhere in Munich. We always buy the day pass on public transportation and the tram (this time a bus) stop is right down the corner, which takes us to the center in minutes. It has an easy access underground garage, great advantage in busy city. We will return here again on our next trip to Munich!

Good welcoming by reception staff but that’s it . The air conditioner had been shut off for winter making the room very stuffy. The bed was ok but the pillows are the worst I have ever put my head on. They gave one pillow per person so we asked for extra which didn’t change the lacking of stuffing inside the pillows which made for a very poor sleep experience. No English speaking entertainment tv channels which is very poor service. The taps in the bathroom are shocking , I could pee with a stronger flow. In summary Look 👀 Elsewhere.
Regards Kevin

I was ibis hopping for this Europe trip. I thought ibis will have the same positive vibes like i had before in Vienna but it was otherwise.

The counter guys wasn't that warm but i brushed it off because didn't want to spoil my day.

The room was ok for 2 persons but a little cramp with 2 big luggages.

As for the location, not too bad. It's walking distance to 2 stations.

The hotel was located a short walk from the tram stop. The hotel room and common areas were clean and the room was a suitable size. The hotel staff was super friendly. The breakfast was good. The hotel lobby also had a nice bar where you could get drinks and snacks. I recommend.

You might consider purchasing a group transit pass for Bavaria. It is good for 2nd class coach travel throughout Bavaria after 9am. It is also good for local transit systems, in this case your tram to the HBF and your train to Kempten. Purchase on the Die Bahn website. You might need to purchase two passes and you can purchase in advance and print them out. Search for Bayern ticket. Or, go to the DB website and plug in your itinerary for Munich to Kempten. The Bayern ticket should come up as an option.

Are there transport links to Olympiahalle from here?
Answer from rodndtube

Put your origin and destination addresses, explore a little to understand your options. The tram runs nicely as does the connections to subway. Search for the MVV for Munich transit and use the routing feature. (Not allowed to post links.)

You may find if you are luck on connecting roads, but not in front of the hotel.
