Good, cute hotel near the Viktualienmarkt (which is amazing...s must visit! Definitely have a meal there) but it was nothing special. There is no air conditioning, and it was quite hot when we went. The staff was all extremely friendly, and the breakfast was good...what I have learned is a traditional breakfast as you would find in a German hotel....

We visited Munich as part of a Rick Steve's Tour. The hotel is in a good location but in our opinion was awful. The lobby is dark and dirty seeming and the elevator so small that only suitable for suitcases. The room was in the back and overlooked an ally. Room was large, austere white walls, no pictures and small...

The proximity of this hotel to some of the attractions was great, however, it is not air-conditioned. I imagine that not to be a problem in cool weather, but it was 95 degrees while we were here! Opening the windows to get any relief meant that we heard every plentiful noise from the street as if it were in the...

Want to be in the heart of the city? This is the spot. Stroll through the Viktualien Markt...grab a beer and a brat in the garden...stroll further...see the Glockenspiel...stroll further to shop in a trendy Euro store...stroll even further...museums with art and history...stroll back...make a stop at the Hofbräuhaus (or other)...stroll a little more slowly back to the Hotel Am...

Can't beat this hotel for location, our family of 5 had two rooms and one of the rooms and both rooms were spacious and very nice. One room also had a nice bathroom but the other room had a bathroom that was VERY small, like a small closet and was quite awkward. Our friends had another room on the same...

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location for getting around. Rooms are small with wood floors, and clean. Helpful staff. Strong breakfast. No A/C which is common for Europe hotels. Shower good. Small elevator and difficult stairs. Great location in the center. I would stay here again. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

This is our fifth stay at this property and the only place we will stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to the Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is just enough with the typical yogurt, meats, breads and pastries.

We stayed in Munich for a couple of days while on a tour. It's a nice older hotel within walking distance to the outdoor market, historic buildings, shopping, food, and the all important Hofbräuhaus! There is also a delightful cupcakes place right next door and a laundry across the street. The beds were comfortable, the hotel clean, and the staff...

Spent the night in Munich and found a nice room for a decent price. Overall, it was decent experience. The beds were ok as were the pillows. Parking is tough and the elevator is tiny. Be prepared to take the stairs. The best thing was the location as we were very close to all the major areas within a few...

We stayed in the apartment on the highest floor for 3 nights on a family vacation. The apartment offers two attached rooms and one bathroom. The room was extremely clean and mostly spacious. The wifi was excellent and the breakfast was abundant. Staff were very welcoming and hospitable. The location was very central and you can easily walk to all...
