I have not made any comments for a long time for any place, but this time it would be unfair if i do not comment on Hotel Blauer Bock in Munich. First of all, I had a great stay with a very good price at such a location where n such a nice hotel. The hotel itself “with its entrance and rooms and comfortable beds and clean rooms with nice and enough stuff and clean bathrooms” provides a great accommodation in a highly convenient ( so close to center square Marienplatz, Vikteulien Markt and so son while providing a calm and noiseless stay at night) location. You can reach to the Marien Platz and the metro station in 5 minutes. There is a huge Italian shop and restaurant just across the Hotel, cosy bars and restauranst in close range including the ones in Vikteluien Market. Apart from all, the staff at the reception and the restaurant are so helpful and friendly. They serve a nice breakfast cup n the nice restaurant of the hotel. They even helped me as much as they can although i made to the restaurant a while after the finish of breakfast time. Some herbal teas are served in the lobby (free of charge) and they help to keep the luggages after the check-out. All in all, thanks for this good experience in Munich.

This hotel is very well-located, a very short distance from the Viktulienmarkt and Marienplatz. The room (booked as a single) was very small, but comfortable and well-designed, with all you need. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast was good. The hotel operates a restaurant and I went there for dinner. I did not realize that it was Michelin-starred. It was very expensive . . . but that said, it was good. The server was lovely. When I said I didn't want dessert but would appreciate a little chocolate nibble, she returned with 2 tiny brownies that would normally be a garnish on one of their desserts. The wifi was a bit intermittent, but sufficed. I think the difficulty there was that the hotel is in a former monastery and the walls are thick.

The Hotel Blauer Bock is a great hotel in a perfect location. You can walk to many interesting sites, and there are subway stations and bus stops close by too.

I had a room on the top floor. It was hot while I was there, and the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning, but I asked for and got a fan, which was sufficient to cool the room.

The daily housekeeping was excellent. The room was always sparkling clean.

The breakfast was amazing. The breakfast staff were kind and attentive too.

I hope to return to Munich sometime soon, and if I do, I know where I’m going's to stay!

This is an over priced hotel with low value and amenities. The location is all they have going for them. We paid close to $300 a night for a tiny room, no a/c, no refrigerator, no toiletries. It’s a very bare bones place with a high price tag. The room was hot. We had to open our window and door to create a draft. To top it off, they have unreasonable policies. If you lose the plastic key, you are required to pay 25 Euros. This is excessive and an example of the horrible hotel policy. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

My family and I had the most amazing time at this hotel, the staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure that we had all that we needed; expert advice on where to go, guidance on the local transport and they even gave us a detailed itinerary to support us in our long journey home. We are so grateful for the warm welcome, amazing breakfasts and superb location (a mere stones throw to the multitude of Christmas markets). Cannot recommend Hotel Blauer Bock highly enough!!!

If ever my family and I return to Munich, we will definitely stay at the Hotel Blauer Bock! The entire staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Though we arrived much earlier than our check in time, we were still able to park our car in the garage below the hotel (a great benefit) and store our luggage with them! The lobby was a cozy stop each day for a cup of tea after exploring the nearby Marienplatz and sights of Munich! Our rooms were very modern, clean and comfortable. We loved the decor of the restaurant and the breakfasts were excellent. Thank you Rick Steves and your Germany guidebook for recommending this independent hotel in the heart of Munich!!

A lovely and friendly hotel in a central location. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the hotel was clean with good facilities. The single room was very compact but contained all I needed. Flexibility to use the sitting area and bagage storage before check in and after checking out was much appreciated. Thank you

If you're looking for a historic, centrally located boutique hotel -- this is for you! Hotel staff was very friendly and could not beat the location. Only a few minutes walk from Marienplatz station and some great restaurants/beer halls in the area. One note, there is some street noise until about 11 pm/ midnight on weekends due to the restaurant scene, but otherwise a great stay!

Spent a few days at the Blauer Bock during Wirtshauswiesn. This is my second visit to the hotel, as it is one of my favourites places to stay in Munich. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is excellent. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
