We stayed here for 18-days and did day trips each day. The hotel is close to the metro, the tram, and several very good restaurants. It's also a couple of blocks from the beautiful English Garden and the world famous 'river surfers of Munich'. There is plenty to do in Munich to keep you entertained, especially if you add a few nearby day trips by train.
Our favorite thing about the Hotel Adria München was the staff. Even before we arrived we were in email communication with Karen at the front desk. She was superb to work with and made our stay absolutely enjoyable, providing us with information by email even before we arrived.
The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, and the kitchen staff made it even more enjoyable. We looked forward to seeing and spending time with Inge and the two other girls, and I'm embarrassed to say I forgot their names (from Romania and Poland) but they were equally as pleasant and we absolutely enjoyed talking with them and spending our long breakfasts with them. They also have the best coffee in Munich at the Hotel Adria.
We also got to meet Stefan the over-worked hotel manager who had been on vacation. He was so pleasant and took a lot of time out of his very busy schedule to tell us about the area, provide good sites to see, and learn us on some of the Bavarian culture he is so proud of.
As far as the hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are well furnished, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom and shower nice and large. Tina and the staff in housekeeping did an exceptional job at keeping our room clean and ensuring everything we needed was restocked. Even on days when we did not request housekeeping, Tina left a bag of fresh towels and toiletries on the door handle and it was a nice surprise when we arrived back to the room after a long day of exploring Munich.
Without a doubt the staff of the Hotel Adria München made the trip a 1,000x more fun by making us feel so very welcome. We thank you for making our trip such a wonderful time.

We had a great stay at Hotel Adria. It has everything you need for a relaxed stay.

Great location in a very nice area within walking distance from all the main attractions, clean and spacious rooms, and a very nice breakfast. Most of all the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and safety.

Looking forward to returning next year!

We arrived around 6 p.m. on Friday and parked the car out front of the hotel. The hotel has a prominent orange awning that allows it to stand out on the street. We were promptly checked in and opted for a parking permit that allows for an auto to park in the immediate Lehel area. Upon arrival at the room on the first floor we found adequate space for our party of four. There were four singles in pairs. The beds were comfortable with oversized pillows. Our room had a window that opened to a courtyard and private residence garages. We opened the window to take in the cool evening air before heading out to the Marienplatz area via a walk that took about 15 minutes. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a tub / shower combination. The hotel is also in closer proximity to a couple local bakeries and smaller bier hall style restaurants. The Café Lehel on the corner just steps away from the hotel would be a favorite of mine if I lived in the area. The Tattenbach Wirtshaus and Stuberl is one of these locations and offers traditional German fare in a cozy, welcoming place just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The Adria is a great hotel in a great location and would be a place I’d stay again.

Great location but overcharged us on checkout for breakfasts and refusing to reimburse. Apparently sitting in the breakfast room for five minutes before leaving the hotel = having a EUR14 breakfast. So make sure to avoid that room if you don’t want to be charged! Also if you’re booking a room for four the sofa bed for the third / fourth people are very uncomfortable and hard and on a slant. My boyfriend got a bad back in it the first night so we swapped then I had bruises on my hip from it the second night. Overall left a bad taste on our otherwise lovely visit to Munich.

Shower did not work. Staff seemed to know about the issue but still allowed it to be booked. Receptionist was extremely rude to me when I reported the issue even though I was trying to calmly work out a solution to use a working bathroom as I had just finished exercise. Was not offered any option or compensation

Area around the hotel is walkable, and lots of good restaurants (reservations recommended). Close to the subway, and to the markets. Clean, adequate. Rooms are a little small, and showers are small - but it is Europe and to be expected. Good value.

Room was small, but very clean. Shower pressure was good and the hotel offered supplies and a hair dryer. Staff were very friendly. Location was good if you like to walk. Easily accessible to al attractions and U-stations. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were many options nearby. It did get noisy on the streets in the morning.

Great hotel. Staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. Rooms are large, and clean. Near the U4/U5 or walking distance to Marienplatz. Grocery store across the street for any needs. Neighborhood quiet and clean. Would recommend and absolutely would stay here again! Thank you for a lovely stay!

My wife and I were worried when we thought the hotel was really far away from everything we wanted to see and did not offer parking.
We were ecstatic to find that we were wrong on both counts. The only thing I don't reccomend is paying for the breakfast. We made the mistake of not asking the price and found it cost more than what we were spending for breakfast and lunch together per day. And there is a breakfast cafe a block down the street.
We found the hotel with no problem and parked right across the street from the hotel, about 5 yards from the entrance. The city has taken down the restricted parking on the entire street so parking was never an issue.
We were able to walk everywhere. If we had taken a taxi, bus, tram or train we would have missed all of the beautiful sights, and everything looks farther away on the map than it is. Our longest walk was about 18 minutes to the stadt museum. The Marianplatz and Hofbreau Haus were only a few minutes walk. It did take us a day to get the direction to and from accurate, for that we picked up a free map from the tourist information office in the Marianplatz.
We were curious as to why the hotel was so inexpensive. We could find no reason. It was perfect. The staff was friendly and spoke english. They have internet access for guests in the lobby. The room was great. plenty of space, a good strong water pressure and comfortable bed. Relatively inexpensive mini bar. I can't say enough good things about it. We loved the Hotel Adria and will stay there again on our next visit! I reccomend it highly

We went to Munich for a European Delivery on a BMW. We searched for accomodations nearby and found Hotel Adria by chance. What a wonderful surprise! The rooms were very clean. The staff was most helpful and pleasant, and we had the best coffee in the morning that I've ever had in Europe. With the extremely reasonable rates and pleasant atmosphere, I will be sure to stay there again the next time I'm in Munich.
