The hotel staff was very nice and helpful in providing information about sights and things to do. The hotel is centrally located by the train station. Our first night there was a Saturday night, and we were in a room next to the main street. It was very noisy. We asked to be moved to a room adjacent to the...

We stayed there September 18 - 23. Hotel Wallis is very close to the Oktoberfest fairgrounds, the Hauptbahnhof, and Marienplatz. The room was a triple and right on the street. It was comfortable for three people, but was noisy from all the traffic. There was no AC or free internet in the room. There is a computer in the lobby...

The Wallis is a nice 3 star--no frills, but with a fantastic breakfast. The staff is friendly. The rooms are a decent size, by European standards and are clean. The location is convenient in that you are close to the main train station with easy access to Marienplatz but at night the neighborhood becomes seedy, with prostitutes, drunks and drug...

pros: great breakfast buffet, very centrally located, walking distance to train station and city center. we had one of the older (bavarian style) rooms but it was still nice & clean. con: the hotel is located ona street with a few strange characters and establishments but it seemed to be a safe area nonetheless. overall: location beats it all!

We spent a VERY cold weekend in Munich to see the Christmas markets. This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the glockenspiel, metro and centre of munich. The rooms are big by European standards and offer a WARM and clean environment. The hotel is above a McDonalds on a busy road, however our room on the front of the hotel...

I choosed this hotel after reading the reviews here and I have to say it was a good decision. At the time of the booking the price for our 4 star double room (only some of the rooms are 4 star, rest is 3 star) was 99 Eur/night which was very good. It also included a bottle of sparkling wine...

We made this our "home base" as we traveled in and out of Munich. It's only a couple blocks from the main train station, in an area surrounded by peep shows and casinos (but that didn't bother us). They allowed us to keep our souvenir bag there for over a week, and we never once worried about it. The breakfast...

We spent three nights at the Hotel Wallis and we don't have any regets. About a 10 minute walk from the train station. We walked everywhere Karlsplatz (Stachus), Marienplatz, Hofbrauhaus and the Viktualienmarkt. We walked back to the Hotel Wallis after a late night of merryment at the Hofbrauhaus and felt totally safe. We stayed in room 41 (rear of...
