It was my wife's 40th Birthday and I wanted to do something really special. I opted for a long weekend in Munich and I wanted accommodation to both reflect the flavour of Bavaria but also have some wow factor. I selected this hotel based on reviews on Trip Advisor.

Eden Hotel Wolff was perfectly located for public transport (right across the road from main train station) but you didn't hear any of the noise one would expect.

Outside and inside, it was beautifully decorated and really had a touch of class and luxury about it. The staff were very patient with my poor language skills and all spoke excellent English. They were very helpful and attentive.

I paid extra to be upgraded to superior double room and was informed at check-in that we had been allocated a "special" alpine style superior double room for my wifes birthday. We were also complimented with two free drinks to celebrate. Fabulous! It was very beautiful with white wooden wall panelling, very comfy bed and bedding and seats etc. The room and ensuite bathroom were very spacious for a Hotel in the heart of a city.

We dined in the hotel restaurant on night one and the food and décor was very charming. We tried some traditional German meals and both my wife and I found the experience enjoyable. The only small downside was the lack of other patrons in the restaurant. We were the only people dining but perhaps it was because we ate a 7PM and other guests eat later in the evening. But the staff were great and we enjoyed talking to them during our evening.

Breakfast was served in the same area in the mornings and tasted great with a good selection of foods to suit all palates. The Hotel bar was also frequented on two evenings in order to relax with a delicious cocktail and a good book. The bar staff and décor also highly recommended.

So, why only 4 stars instead of 5?

On the morning after our check-in day, we discovered an unpleasant smell of damp or mould in our room. We thought it maybe would clear during the day but it was still there on our return that evening. I felt guilty as I had paid a lot of money (for my budget) for a special trip for my wife, so I reluctantly felt I should report it to the reception .

Staff agreed they could smell it too and were very reassuring. They explained there was no other rooms available so nothing could be done tonight, but they would get an engineer to check it the next day when on duty. They also said they would let me know the outcome. I personally think it was linked to the air con unit but not 100%.

The next day the smell remained but it was more "tolerable" and my wife and I agreed we didn't want to make too much of a fuss. I never did hear an update from the staff team about whether it had even been looked it.

It's not a large complaint. I suspect we were just unlucky and overall the Hotel was lovely. It was just enough to take the shine off a perfect weekend away!

Excellent location just by central station.
Large parking lot behind hotel - you can validate parking ticket at reception and receive discounted rate of approx €17 for 24hrs.
Large rooms, with “hunting lodge” wood panel motif. Very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for such a central location.
Large bathroom with separate shower and bath.
No tea or coffee making facilities but fully stocked minibar.
Breakfast was good, solid fare.
Happy to recommend to anyone who is having a short stay in Munich.

This is a very nice hotel very close to the Munich main station - in fact we could see it through the glass windows of the station when coming off the train tracks. And when we leave, at the recommendation of the hotel, we took the airport bus which is practically right outside the door - more convenient than taking the train and having to deal with stairs and carrying the luggage on and off the train.
We had a very spacious and quiet double room with nice seating area. Very good quality bedding and the breakfast is consistent with what a 5 star hotel would offer.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. In fact we requested to store our luggage a few days before check in and they readily accept that which we were very grateful for.

This is a classy Old World hotel nicely updated with all the contemporary conveniences.
Location is right across from the main train station and a seven-minute walk from one of the largest beer gardens in the country.
Tram and U-bahn access is right outside, and shuttle service to the museum area is across the street.
Airport access is easy by train and takes around an hour hour, including stops, or you can take the twice hourly Lufthansa-sponsored shuttle for a small fee just a few steps from the hotel entrance and be dropped in front of your airline's terminal.
Rooms are bright, airy, and comfortable. Staff is friendly, upbeat, helpful, and professional. Buffet breakfast is served in an elegant dining room and offers a host of hot and cold choices. Overall, a great place to start your exploration of a wonderful city.

The hotel is so near the main railway station, so handy for the u and s bahn trains, so you can access all of the city so easily. We found it to be a safe area with no concerns. The triple room we had was large with a big bathroom. Definitely book the breakfast when booking the hotel, much better rate and a lovely choice. Sausages, eggs bacon and beans, cold meats( and smoked salmon), cereals, and pastries. Although a small walk ( 13 mins max)to the main Marienplatz, it is only 2 stops on the u or s bahn and can walk back after dinner. The transport is cheaper over there as well. A group ticket is €14.80 for the day. A great base to see Munich. No kettle in the room.

Rooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. WiFi is weak in rooms, but moving towards the bedside phone seems to improve the signal. Two things make this hotel stand out, the friendly and helpful staff (unlike some other Munich hotels), and the proximity to the main train station. We had heavy luggage, so with direct access across the road to the train station, and the Lufthansa airport transfer bus just a few doors away, the location is great for dropping bags and then walking the short distance into the old town centre. Breakfast starts early, which is useful if travelling. Staff at check in, and the concierge, are very helpful and willing to meet the needs of guests. We had difficulties contacting a restaurant that we wanted to book a table in, and hotel staff offered to phone and book a table for us.

The location was great, the staff was super nice and helpful, Specially the concierge, forgot his name, Dominique(?!). He was always so helpful, nice and polite. He booked a lovely dinner and opera for my friend's birthday. Thank you so much for that:)
The room was nice and very clean and the bar drinks were also tasty, of course a bit too sweet for my taste.

Disliked · The bed was very hard ( the add on bed). I asked to replace it for a softer one but it was still bad. They don't really have to full bed size, instead they just add 2 twin beds together that acts as a full bed. For the 3rd person they bring you a small one which was not comfortable at all. The window should be fixed to allow less light since curtain did not stop the light from coming in at 6am. So I never had a nice night sleep. The Wifi connection was very, very bad, it never worked for us, unless you go to the main are such as bar, dining area. This was very inconvenient, specially when you are trying to book your tours late at night. The staff at night was also supper nice, friendly. This location was great, close to trains, bus, tram and walking distance to many sights including Marienplatz only 10 minutes away.

We visited this hotel to start our family summer holiday. A true disappointment and not worth the money.

There is simply no hot water available in the bathroom, only cold water. When we called the reception desk for support, they immediately sent an engineer. He ran the hot water taps (not a single drop again) and he admitted that there was nothing he could do as the hotel water system is not able to keep up with the number of guests using hot water simultaneously. So you only get cold showers.

When we settled the bill, we made a comment about the sustained absence of hot water. The front desk officer sighed deeply and nodded, clearly aware of the problem and unhappy with it.

Next door is a brand new NH hotel. You may try that one!

I booked yesterday this amazing hotel for a great value on very short notice by booking just for a 1night but I was amazed by the welcoming, great service and wonderful food. The madness before Christmas and all this lovely people around make your stay happy and very comfortable. Room was excellent, close to the main train station that was packed because of "snow and ice" madness in Munich lol but when I arrive to this hotel I feel straight away relaxed. I love it that in the room was a bath, the bed was very very comfy with a huge TV and nice smell of the wood decoration.
I definitely will coming here next time and spend more days.
Thank you and I recommend to everyone this wonderful place .

My room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I liked the breakfast which has good variety and the breakfast room has a good buzz, also the wait staff were organised and did a good job. I had some clothes washed (third party), it was a bit expensive like all hotels, and there is a coin operated place not that far from the hotel. It is fairly convenient to walk into town and Eden Wolff is a good base to explore Munich, and right next to the main station for travelling. I would stay here again and I would recommend staying here.
