I am a long-time member of Marriott and used to higher standards for such high prices. The hotel is quite old, although clean, but room amenities are too scarce (no slippers for example). Check-in was not the best, I arrived early and was asked to fill all the documents so that I could just pick-up the keys in the afternoon, but in the afternoon the check-in information were not present, so a different receptionist asked me to repeat the whole procedure. Breakfast is OK, the position is not central, although at walking distance there is the U-bahn station of Arabella Park. All in all, there are better options in Munich.

I had high expectations from this large Sheraton. But it let us down on many fronts. Pros: 1. The hotel's rooftop pool and spa area. The view is very nice and the sauna and gym are nice. The steam room wasn't functional for the entire duration of our stay. 2. The breakfast served was good for European standards. For residents of the Gulf and Asia, do not expect hotel breakfasts like back home. But th Sheraton Munich was good. Cons: 1. We reached the hotel at 11 am, and our room wasn't ready. (Which is totally understandable). We left our bags at the front desk and asked them to call us whenever the rooms are ready. We didn't get any information until 6 pm. Don't give me an early check in, but there must be a maximim time limit. 2. Bonvoy Platinum members should not get too excited. We were given a standard room, even though every higher category of room was available on the Bonvoy App. On being asked, we were told the hotel was sold out. 3. On our second day, we were moved to a studio room. Slightly better but not a suite. This discrepancy must be addressed by the Marriott. The lack of transparency is irksome to most Bonvoy members. 4. The lounge is not operational. If the hotel is sold out, as they claim, I'm sure the Lounge has enough demand. I would certainly not go back to this hotel. It has seen better days.

Dear Nbofra, I would like to sincerely thank you for filling out our guest satisfaction questionnaire following your stay here with us at Sheraton Arabellapark Hotel. Please note that I was most concerned reading your comments about the level of service you have received from our reception staff and the difficulties occurred with the closed Club Lounge. First and foremost we would like to apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations, especially that you did not feel appreciated as a valued Bonvoy member. Clearly you understand that we cannot allow any of our guest to leave with such feelings, especially as this is not indicative of our usual high standards of operations. In order to follow up on the matter and to ensure that such situations do not reoccur in the future, I have informed my teams. Perhaps, when planning a future visit to Munich you would be kind enough to contact our office directly so that we can personally take care of your requirements and ensure that your next stay is a comfortable and enjoyable one. Dear Nbofra, once again please accept my apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience that you have experienced during your stay with us at Sheraton Arabellpark Hotel. We hope looking forward to having the opportunity of welcoming you back to our hotel in the near future. Kind Regards,

We have just spent four nights at the Sheraton Arabellapark. The biggest impression I have from the hotel is how wonderful the staff is. They hit the excatly perfect sweet spot of friendly and professional and were always so very on the ball and helpful. It was the level of personal and helpful that is common in a nicer hotel in Asia, but pretty much unheard of is a reasonably priced place in Munich! Beyonf the staff: the hotel itself is in an older high rise building (I think 22 floors) which was once the tallest building in Munich. The construction dates from the 50s and looks like it on the outside, but the lobby, our room, etc have all been updated plenty and felt quite nice. The bed was comfortable, the room was a good size, the shower was large worked well, there were usb ports in multiple locations as well as plenty of power outlets, the TV was nice and had a huge selction of channels in many langauges, etc. We were updated to a room with a kitchenette which was a little funny because there were NO dishes at all in there (we assume because of COVID rules), but it was nice to have a microwave and a bit more space for sure. There was also daily housekeeping...which we have not gotten anywhere else since covid so taht was a pleasant surprise. The lounge is currently closed (also covid restricted) but as Platinum Elite members we were allowed to get the breakfast at no added cost instead (and 20% off at the bar)....breakfast was wonderful....a buffet of all the usual cold offerings, plus 4-5 hot dishes daily and made to order eggs or omlettes. All well stocked and clean. The location is really convieneint....in under five minutes of walking you can be at three different public transit stops (a bus stop, two tram stops one is also a U bahn stop), about a dozen restruarants (I highly recomend Namaste if you like Indian), 3 grocery stores, drug stores, etc. There are also lots of shad walkign trails right nearby and a park with a great figure eight trail loop for running. The parking garage is very large (easy to lose your car in!) with lots of space, or you can park in the above ground lot right at the entry...both work with the in and out parking card if you pay the 30 euro daily rate (ouch! but this is Munich and it is the way things are). Covid rules are well adheered to and everything is sparkling clean. Wifi is strong and fast...I had no issues at all streaming olympic soccer matches in real time. We have several more upcomming trips to Munich and liked the hotel enough that we plan to return there for each of them.

Chose to visit here after liking the location but disappointed in a recent stay at the Marriott close by. Glad to say this hotel is much better, brighter rooms and friendlier staff. Great gym on the top floor too.

Rooms are nice and offer a great view of either the city or the alps. The underground 4 and u5 are right in the hotel. Very easy to get around. Breakfast was typical but the do offer cooked to order eggs. Overall worked fine for us.
