I stayed here for one night whilst attending an event at the Sofitel which is just 3-4 minutes walk across the road. My room was way bigger than average and a very pleasant surprise. The fixtures and fittings were all top quality and in good condition, and my room was at the back facing a narrow street so quiet all night. The sound proofing was also first rate.
The bed was very comfortable and I slept well.
Breakfast was a treat. Massive choice, so I want back several times!
Check in and check out were pretty slick even though in the morning I checked out at peak time.
The location is bang on, only a few minutes walk from the Central Station, so,getting to and from the airport is a cinch, and getting around Munich is also easy as busses and taxis are readily available.

The Maritim Hotel Munich is located a short walk from the Munich Hauptbahnhof and city centre attractions. The hotel is located in a courtyard off the street which minimised noise and ensured a restful sleep. The staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

The room was very spacious with two twin beds, arm chair and a long desk. There was plenty of room for our luggage to be stored without inhibiting movement around the room. The room has a large window that can be opened to allow fresh air into the room. The beds were comfortable and the room contained a minibar stocked with drinks for you to purchase.

The hotel has a bar/restaurant but we did not have a chance to try it, there are many great restaurants located around the hotel along with supermarkets in the next street to pick up any supplies you may need.

Overall a great value hotel in the heart of Munich, I would certainly stay here again.

Just stayed here for a few nights with the family. We opted for two rooms but where double beds were expected the rooms had two single beds put together. The bathroom was very clean and the showers worked a treat. There were very large TVs in each room and the beds were comfortable. Each room had plenty of storage space and each had air conditioning.

We opted not to have breakfast, because the hotel was situated about 100 yards from the train station, so we went there instead. Breakfast here was about 20 Euros a head so we walked to the station for fresh food. As you leave the hotel and walked through the passage to the road, you turned right and the train station was right in front, just across the road.

Staff were very friendly, there was free wifi and lifts to the rooms. Overall it was a nice place to stay and it was extremely well sited for trains and trams in and out of the city.

Would stay here again, if only because it was so well situated being effectively just across the road from the train station.

We stayed here 2 nights, from June 12 to 14 .This hotel is perfectly located just steps from Munich Central Station, with an overall modern look and concept. All 4 of us(two adults, two teenagers) checked in after 11pm; the front desk looked tired, but so were we. There are two elevators leading to the rooms and both are fit enough for more than 4 people. We had two rooms right next to each other: Room 445(two twin beds), and Room 447(one double bed). Both rooms were spacious and clean, and beds were comfortable. WI-FI connection was great. Bathroom was huge given European standards, water temperature was perfect for both hot and cold fans. AC temperature was perfect. We had a peaceful sleep and the morning after we went downstairs for a magnificent breakfast: water, coffee, tea, juices, hot chocolate, pancakes, scrambled eggs, croissants, assorted cheese, assorted bread, fruits, are only about a third part of the breakfast items. Pretty close to dining places(walking distance) but somewhat far from historical places, check-out was a breeze, would stay here again

The hotel has seen better days and unfortunately doesn't benefit from being in a rather run down (but convenient) location. During my stay of 5 days a number of issues came up... though the hotel advertised its swimming pool (a key reason for staying) it was drained with no explanation. The gym was in a small room where the TV didn't work and at least 1 machine (out of 4) fell apart. I needed to change rooms due to WiFi problems. In my new room the safe was not working and the TV remote had leaking batteries so didn't work. On top of that there was no room service at all (as advertised) and I couldn't even order foods that were on that menu. room service or food from menu. A big plus was the attitude and helpfulness of all staff members who were cheerful and professional at all times.

Great location and within easy walking distance to everything. I’m not sure if it was blood on the curtains but it seemed like it. It also looked like there were red wine stains on the bed head? We were woken every morning around 5 am by the sound of a washing machine in the ‘service room’ next door - sounded like they were washing sheets or towels every morning? Very thin walls, we could hear the people in the room next to us and also people in the hallway. It was disappointing that on the day of checkout the housekeeper tried entering our room before 8 am to try and clean the room for the next occupant. Considering our room wasn’t usually done until after midday during our stay this was not appreciated. Further not appreciated was when my husband and I started taking our suitcases down to our car, leaving our 10 year old son in the room with the rest of the luggage, she was right outside the room and tried to enter it again. This was before 10 am. Checkout is not until 12 pm. We felt like we were being kicked out very prematurely. It’s not a nice feeling having someone watch you and make comments in another language belittling you.

The hotel is located not far away from the central train location and in 5 minutes walking distances to Karlsplatz (Stachus) and 10 minutes to city center. But the neighborhood around the train station is not a good one; dominated with strip clubs, casinos and betting shops around the hotel.
The hotel building is quite old, so are the equipment and furniture in the rooms.
That is the first hotel, I've ever been in Germany without having an Iron and Iron board in the room or sending one to the room. Instead you need to go up to 5th floor to the Ironing Room, which is ridiculous.

The hotel is conveniently located a few steps away from the Hauptbahnof and 10 minutes walk from Marienplatz. The surrounding area is under refurbishment and guess it will be much more better than what it was so far. Rooms are large enough for a short stay and breakfast is good with a wide choice of food. They have a deal with the Railway park lot. If the hotel had its own parking it would be perfect as you can't book the parking and you never know if it is available or not

The Maritim Hotel Munchen is a decent hotel near Munich Central Station. I would probably have given it three stars, but due to their vast breakfast options and excellent customer service provided by their restaurant team, I give them a rating of four stars. The hotel meets the basic needs of any hotel room, and rooms are significantly small. Even though it is close to the central station, the hotel is quiet and near various eateries. Thanks to Carmen, Gladys, and Maria for providing excellent customer service each morning in the hotel's restaurant. I am not sure if I would ever stay here again, but it was not a bad option at the end of the day.

The first room I was given had no air conditioning. I called the front desk and the gal very quickly got me another room that had what I would call minimal acceptable air conditioning, not really cool or great at all. This meant I had to re-pack everything, move to another room, and then un-pack everything again. This wasted well over an hour of my time. I brought this to the attention of a manager named Alex the next day, who offered all sorts of vacant apologies. When I told him his apology meant nothing to me, he asked what I wanted, and I replied that was up to them if they wanted to offer some kind of compensation. The next day I received a card with more vacant apologies on it, and an offer to have one free drink in their bar. As I don't drink anything other than water, I calculated their of pocket cost for a bottle of water would be about 5 or 10 cents. I found this offer insulting at best.

I also didn't appreciate the replacement room I was given had no shower, but only a bathtub, with a hand held handle that only went about 2 feet, which meant you couldn't use it as a shower. And the water spayed all over the place.

Other than the insulting offer Alex made to me, thinking my time of over an hour wasted, with stress and aggravation was worth a few cents to them, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and everything else worked. I would add their breakfast was quite excellent.

Regardless, I wouldn't go back, as I have a feeling mine wasn't the only room without air conditioning in a hot July summer. The neighborhood also has quite a few homeless people right outside the hotel, and there were no quality restaurants nearby other than in a few 5 star hotels around the train station.

Dear guest, Unfortunately we do not offer an airport shuttle. You can take one of the taxis waiting there or use the train S1 or S 8 to go from the airport to "München Hauptbahnhof/Munich central station". It takes about 40 minutes and from the train station it is just a 3 minutes walk to our hotel. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us. We wish you a safe trip and we are looking forward to welcoming you soon. Kind regards Lena Entner Director´s secretary Maritim Hotel Munich
