First, this hotel is not a Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt. It is a "boutique" hotel that has great rooms, great bedding, nice finishes, and easy in / out. It is about a 8 minute walk from the city center. It is also close to a number of tech companies within 5 minutes walk. Loved this hotel and the daily service and look forward to staying again!

It’s not only a very old hotel wich badly needs to be renovated but also very dirty one. Our room had a horrible moldy smell and was so dusty. Staff were nice, tried to give us an upgrade, but unfortunately when I checked other room there was a hair from a previous guest in the shower. Just avoid this place.

This place has me puzzled. It was booked for me as part of a business trip. To start with the good things, the location is great, staff is friendly, and breakfast is actually quite acceptable. The rooms, however, are something else. They are tiny and dirty. The dated shower is right next to the entrance door, only the toilet is separate. Overall it seems the hotel was "remodeled" from something even worse, but the only thing they did is paint the walls in a hideous brown? Moreover, the whole place looks like something you'd pay for by the hour, red lights (really?) and tasteless decorations everywhere. I would strongly suggest you find some other place to stay, like I did after one night.

Nice little hotel, very small single room. Breakfast is better and richer than expected. The staff is kind and helpful in any problem. The location is not bad at all. There is a restaurant and pub just below the hotel

Was staying 2 days in Munich to see friends. Looked for central hotel with parking. The place is nice, I didn’t have breakfast, really close to the metro and a few minutes fast walk from Marienplatz. Regarding the parking, be careful if you have a big car, there is place for only 6 cars and if the big ones are up the front it might be tough to get in reversing as it would be impossible to turn in the little court and you’re definitely not going to want to move it during your stay. Fine if you have a Smart.

Nice room and excellent breakfast. Staff a bit too much around your neck in breakfast time, relax guys !... the food is great, all you wish is there for this breakfast/brunch delight. Appliances in bathroom could be rectified too.

We just spent two nights at this well located Boutique Hotel in Amalienstraße 25, Munich. The area is full of bars and restaurants and walking distance to main shopping areas. Metro is also very closed. The rooms urgently demand a renovation as although size is quite ok , furniture and carpet is rather old . The red lights is the room need to be replaced ASAP. The reception staff was really helpful and kind at all times. Breakfast is served at first floor and is quite ok . The hotel is full of stairs and to reach our room 316 you cannot reach it from a ramp o lift so you have to be prepared to carry your baggage up there from the lift. Price was very high up to 400 EUR but probably due to the Oktoberfest.

While the location of this hotel is perfectly fine, and the staff was courteous and nice - these silver linings did not make up for an overall poor experience at the hotel. First and foremost the showers were incredibly small, leaked (when they worked), and most of the time either had uncontrollable oscillating boiling hot and freezing cold water or no hot water at all. The rooms were incredibly small, and close to noisy neighbors.

Dear JackS4316, Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. We deeply regret that your overall impressions where clouded by the size of the room and the unstable water temperature. We fully understand your criticism and apologize in all due form. Our technical team is already working with top priority on it. Nevertheless, we appreciate your positive words about our team. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, we can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Because I was alone on a business trip it worked for me. But I'm not sure I would stay here with my family. Rooms are clean but small, Ok tiny. Breakfast is good but limited. Location is very good: the property is located in the walking distance from the Marienplatz. Overall I would recommend this place for single trips.

I always start my reviews by reading other reviews, in particular, the negative ones and I must have stayed at a different Boutique Hotel Leonardo to those negative reviews. Yes, it is small but surely the clue is in the word 'Boutique'? We arrived here at 10 in the morning after an early flight from England and was warmly greeted by the staff member on reception. She notified us that we were a bit early to get in our room which we suspected anyway but was allowed to leave our baggage at the hotel till the room was ready. We explored Munich and when we returned later we could get in our room. Me and my son had a double room with twin beds and which wasn't the roomiest but had everything in it. The room was fitted with working air conditioning, a TV, a small wardrobe, vanity unit and a chair. There was plenty of lighting in the room although I'm not too sure about the red shades! It produced an interesting look at night especially after a couple of steins of beer in the Alt Stadt! A free bottle of water per guest is supplied in the room and full points for a continental hotel that has a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room (Note to staff - Make sure you get the cleaning staff to stock up the creamer in the supplies daily as us Brits like milk in our tea and coffee!). The washroom is small but all there and the amount of free cleaning products is amazing - combs, shavers, toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as shampoos and gel. Room was also clean and tidy and everything worked (note to hotels in general - Start fitting USB charge points for convenience). We had bed and breakfast and the offering was very good, from a hot selection of scrambled eggs and white or normal sausage with hash browns through the usual full continental offering and also cereals. As much tea and coffee as you want and a selection of fruit juices. Breakfast area very clean, tidy and modern. Reception is small but well decorated. Drinks can be obtained any time of day or night from here as reception is manned 24/7. My son was thirsty and popped down at 3 in the morning to buy a bottle of water! Finally a note about the staff. All of the staff we met were polite and very helpful. We had a cancelled flight and had to stay another day so a big thank you to the young lady on the desk that dealt with this for us. In conclusion, we like this hotel, it suited our needs very well and is only a 5 minute walk from here to the Marion Platz and the OdeonStrasse Ubahn stop. The bus also stops just around the corner so it is a good place for the sightseer to stay. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would return when I next visit Munich.
