I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Royal. Staff was very helpful and fluent in English. Bathroom featured double-sinks and a bathtub as well as a shower. As usual in Germany, room was immaculate. Free Wifi was a plus! I did not have breakfast. It was pricey and there are MANY food options in short walking distance. Coffee Fellows on...

We only stayed over for one night en-route to the Schwarzwald, arriving late. At first I thought the decor was garish with ugly green carpets, but eventually came to like the retro feel of the decor and furnishings. Room large by European standards, great bed and large bathroom. Typical German, everything works and is well maintained. Staff a bit aloof,...

A 1979 time warp, perfectly preserved :-) Well maintained but a little dated... Personally, I loved it! The staff were EXCELLENT at every moment. Reasonable pricing and great location for easy access to centre of town.

I used this hotel for a 4-day conference at Stuttgart Messe. Hotel is VERY centrally located with good neighborhood and few 100 meters to either subway (25 min/3,40EUR to airport/messe) and to the large pedestrian street in the old city centre. The basic single room is not big, but very comfortable and with usual amenities (no safe though, but this...

This hotel is in need of a renovation - it looks tired and outdated, it's rather noisy and the carpet (even on the walls of my bedroom!) smelled of cigarettes, although my room was supposed to be non-smoking. In my bedroom I found several pieces of a broken glass from the previous guest (but the maid was very apologetic the...

Our triple room was a good size. Very old school and dated but clean and with a huge bathroom. The location was not really close to the trains so we had to hike a bit but the hotel staff made up for it. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Out of all the hotels we stayed...

The hotel itself is not very big, the single room I was given was also very small. The toilet has a bath tub, but there is o curtain. I noticed that there was a drainage on the bathroom floor which I guess means any water that might drop onto the floor will just go though that. However, this does not...

We were looking for a handy located hotel for a brief stopover in Stuttgart and after checking availability, very late, found the Royal. It's quirky in that old European way, all good I guess, just nothing to rave about. The location is sort of handy, not as close to railway main station as I would've liked but great for shopping...

great location. walking distance to old town, shopping and restaurant. 1-2 min walk to rotebuhlplatz-stadtmitte station. 25min to stuttgart airport. (s2 or s3 train) People at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not worth $14 euro for sure. Our room was very dated and smelled because of old carpet. No shower curtain so bathroom floor got soaked....

“Even though i changed my room after one night from 1st floor to the 3rd, i would not recommend this hotel for single room. Both times the rooms are at the back of the hotel which is good, more quiet than the front of the hotel. None of both rooms i had have temperature control. Single rooms were small too.”
