Spent 3 nights here as second stage of a recent Training Seminar following previous 3 nights in Basel, Switzerland. Our group comprised around 90-100 people and venue seemed to handle this seamlessly. Staff efficient & courteous. Rooms clean & spacious

Dear guest, thank you very much again for your stay with us and also for your comment on Tripadvisor. It is nice to see that you enjoyed your stay and also your training at our hotel. And yes, our team is indeed quite efficient at handling meetings and events; if we consider also the connected congress hall we carry out meetings with up to 2.500 people at once. Kind regards and looking forward to your next stay, Alexander Buck, General Manager.

Nice hotel and amazing breakfast selection. Classic style, large rooms and comfortable beds. You have to walk quite a bit to get to the rooms from the main hotel area which is strange and a little inconvenient with a lot of luggage. I didn't use the pool area, heard it was

Dear guest, thank you very much again for your stay with us and also for your comment on tripadvisor. It is nice to see that you enjoyed your time here over all. It is right that it is a bit to walk to the rooms in the park wing but for this the rooms there are even quieter as the rooms in the main building are already. The separation into two buildings is due to Stuttgart’s inner city construction code. If you need help with our luggage for the “walk” to the park wing please do not hesitate to ask our reception team. The pool itself is free of charge, you have only to pay for sauna and gym due to a German tax law. Kind regards and looking forward to your next stay, Alexander Buck, General Manager.

Visited Stuttgart for the Christmas markets and stayed one night in a ‘Comfort’ double room which is the lowest tier room in this 4 star hotel. If arriving from the airport, go to the Hauptbf /Arnulf-Klett-Platz then take U14/U29 two stops to Berliner Platz (Liederhalle). It’s

Dear guest, thank you very much again for your stay with us and also for your comment on tripadvisor. I am sorry that your stay was not to your full satisfaction. The comfort category is the second room category. The rooms have the same size as the classic rooms but are located on the higher levels. It is right that it a bit to walk to the rooms in the park wing through the gallery with changing exhibitions but for this the room in the park wing are even quieter as the rooms in the main building are already. The separation into two building is due to Stuttgart’s inner city construction code. And yes, the Hoppenlau park used to be a cemetery until 1880; today it is used as a well-known inner city park. The two separated beds / matrasses are indeed quiet common in Germany; but please do not hesitate to ask our reception staff if you prefer a big kingsize bed. I am very sorry that your reception let you bring only one additional pillow as they could have known that you probably prefer two pillows in a double room; I have already talked with our front office manager. Dear guest, I apologize for the inconveniences and would appreciate to welcome you here again sometime. Kind regards, Alexander Buck, General Manager.

The hotel was very outdated - I imagine it was lovely in the late 90s but desperately needs a refurb. The check-in process was slow and then it was a very long walk to the rooms as they were in an annex. The rooms were then average - kettle provided but no breakfast teabags or

Dear guest, thank you very much again for your stay with us and also for your comment on tripadvisor. I am very sorry if your stay was not to your full satisfaction. The price for a hotel room depends on demand and supply. So the room rate is higher at high season, for example at November / December with many events and trade fairs at Stuttgart, and lower on low season, for example while Christmas or summer holidays. I am sorry that our 2016 refurbished hotel didn’t fit your taste completely. It is probably right that our more classical designed hotel is not comparable with a modern design hotel. And yes, it is also right that it is a bit to walk to the rooms in the park wing. But for this the rooms there are even quieter as the rooms in the main building are already. The separation into two buildings is due to Stuttgart’s inner city construction code. I am also very sorry that our housekeeping forgot the tea at your room for the kettle. I have already talked to our housekeeping. If you need more or firmer pillows please do not hesitate to contact our housekeeping while your stay and the colleagues will bring them up to your room. And yes, the gym and sauna are charged additionally to the room rate which we hadn’t decided on ourself; it is due to a German tax law. Dear guest, I apologize for any inconveniences and would appreciate to welcome you here soon again. Kind regards and looking forward to your next stay, Alexander Buck, General Manager.

A temporary Christmas bar facility has been built right outside one of the hotel wings. The loud music is playing until midnight so make sure your room is nowhere near this structure. The room is very hot and the thermostat on the wall is doing nothing to bring the temperature

Dear guest, thank you very much again for your stay with us and also for your comment on tripadvisor. I am very sorry that your stay was not to your full satisfaction as the event at our “Almhütte” was a bit too loud while your stay. Please do not hesitate in such a case to contact our reception team so they can change you to another room. It is right that we hadn’t turned on our air conditioning at the moment as it is quite cold outsight. Dear guest, I apologize for the inconveniences and would appreciate to welcome you here soon again. Kind regards, Alexander Buck, General Manager.

The fastest way is to use the train, S-Bahn, S2 or S6, from the center station to Stuttgart Stadtmitte stop. then just 5 minutes walking to reach the hotel. Or you may take U14, then U9 to arrive at Berliner Platz, which is slower but closer to the hotel, 2 minutes walking distance.
