This is a beautiful old hotel. We had room 101 which was an excellent size with plenty of wardrobe space. View from the room was the river. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely dining room and breakfast room. Good selection of food at breakfast. Very pleasant staff. Central location. Nothing bad to say at all. Will definately return if we visi...

This review is for the restaurant. Hotel restaurants are a good choice for Christmas and Hotel Zum Ritter ended up being an excellent choice. The room is elegant and warm with wood panels with sculptured figures and a fire place. The food was German fair, but done to high standards. The service was excellent and English was not a problem...

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg in December. The location couldn't have been more centrally located to everything we wanted to see & do: front and center at the Weihnachtsmarkt, the Bergbahn to the castle was just a couple blocks away, fantastic dining at Schnitzelbank, Hackteufel and Cafe Gundel (reviewed separately) as well as...

Wish I could stay longer at this lovely hotel!! Had a slightly tough time looking for this hotel and dragging our luggage from the bus station but it's all worth it when we reached the hotel - such a beautiful historic building!! Tip#1 if you have heavy luggage - just take taxi to the hotel. Once you got there, it's...

The hotel is beautiful both inside and out. Upon walking up to it we were so excited that this was our hotel since we love staying in historic places. The staff was friendly and getting to the room felt a little like a maze but it was nice to see all the antique decorations and furniture in the halls. Our...

This was a very neat and tidy hotel which has a tiny lift and lots of stairs so if you have big bags then be ready for climbing! The room itself was neat and well presented with everything you could need - came with a worldwide adaptor which was a nice touch. Everything was good apart from the breakfast which...

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous old building, set on a large square right in the centre of Heidelberg so it's really convenient as well. We were visiting for the Christmas markets, and a large part of the stalls / activities was in the square directly outside, or within a couple of streets from the hotel.

We were fortunate to spend our Christmas holiday here this year, and couldn't be more pleased. The location can't be beat- right across from the Heiliggeistkurche- on the Marktplatz. The staff are friendly and helpful; the breakfast plentiful. The hotel itself is charming and full of personality, which I would expect and want in a hotel of its stature &...
