While it is a bit outside the city center, Deutscher Kaiser Lichtental provides a easy-going and clam place. The room is clean, large, and quite. It comes with a good breakfast. Parking can be challenging but we were lucky just got a spot outside the door. There is no elevator. Main door - We arrived after six and tried to...

We stayed for 2 nights. The room is alright, enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well but I struggled at night as they don't have 24 hour kitchen, not even a vending machine or nearby store so I was left starving that certain night, my fault really for not securing goodies but to go famish? Haha. Anyway, other than that, it...

We stayed at the Hotel Deutscher Kaiser in Baden Baden for three nights in August. This hotel is in Lichtental, a 20 minute walk to the centre of town, and not to be confused with the Hotel Deutscher Kaiser im Centrum. Pros: Great location, just a 20 minute walk through the beautiful Lichtentaller Aller park to the centre of town...

Baden Baden is an attractive and upmarket spa town that stretches along a river valley surrounded by the wooded hills of the Black Forest. The centre is about 4k up the valley from the main station, and this hotel is about another 1 ½ k further up. Breakfast is good and the staff are pleasant and helpful. There is a...

We had a very comfortable stay. It was a very quiet and traditional place... genteel. The room was spacious and comfortable with a powerful shower and breakfast was good. The walk into town was a pleasant riverside stroll and the lady at the hotel described the route very well to us on the map. We enjoyed staying here.

After a not so very good experience in a previous hotel in Germany, coming to this clean, friendly, well located hotel was a relief! Staff is amazing, bed was great and Baden Baden is a must! Don't hesitate booking here

The room was fine - we opted for the less expensive room and therefore had a 3 story walk up. Clean but old carpeting, etc. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Parking was a little challenging. The spots in from say "30 min" parking for check in, but apparently hotel guests stay there all night. We obeyed the signs and...

Traveling through Germany with our family, we found the most charming gem in Baden-Baden. The Deutscher Kaiser - Lichtenthal. This wonderful hotel was absolutely great for us, our children and our grandchildren. The owners, Jutta and Jurgen Peter couldn't have been more accomodating. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was outstanding. In fact, when we were leaving Germany,...

During our road trip thru Germany we came upon this boutique hotel by chance in Baden-Baden. We were very warmly welcomed by our German hosts who spoke English. Our room was very clean and comfortable and opened to a small balcony. We were able to park in one of the few parking spaces in front of the hotel and our...

A warm welcome, reasonable rates and a hearty breakfast await you. We called in late after a long day and were warmly welcomed. The room was modern and extremely clean. All you could ask for - and a great breakfast, too.
