This Auberge (I think this translates to a French mountain hotel/hostel/bed&breakfast) was a wonderful experience! We were hiking in the area as a group of 3 women. By the time we reached the hotel were were 2 hours later than expected and exhausted, but instantly revived by the warm welcome of the genuinely relieved owners to see that we had made it. They went above and beyond in helping us plan our route back to the car the next day, going over it multiple times on a map to make sure we knew what we were doing. They let us store our water bottles in their freezer too as we were in the middle of a major heat wave (temperatures around 100F). We got a private room with our own bathroom, the scenery was beautiful, the rooms clean and quiet, and the food was delicious. Dinner was an extra 18 euros but well worth it! Breakfast was included in our stay. The hotel was not crowded at all and the owners said that they usually didn't fill it to capacity on purpose. We had a fluent french speaker in our group so I'm not sure how much English the owners spoke, but I don't think it would be a problem as they were very nice. A very highly recommended place to stay in the beautiful Pilat mountains!

This Auberge was fantastic! We were a group of friends hiking around Pilat, and stayed here over night. The owners were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was delicious, the scenery was beautiful, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. Not many people were staying there the night we arrived, so we had a room and bathroom to ourselves. We did have a fluent French speaker in our group, which helped since the owners did not know much English. Very highly recommended as an off-the-beaten-path stay!
