We spent one night here recently while traveling through France. We happened to be in Lyon during Euro2016, and this was one of the few centrally-located hotels where we could find a room (even booking several months in advance). It feels like a "budget" hotel, but was clean and the room was large enough. We had a room on the...

This hotel's biggest advantage is its location, some five minutes' walk from Place Bellecour and its metro station. It is a good base for getting round Lyon and is handy for the city centre, its shops. bars and restaurants - again, five minutes' walk from the hotel. Other reviews have commented on the smallness of the rooms, but my single...

Can't say enough about the location but this hotel is in need of a major overhaul. Rooms are TOO small and the carpets were incredibly dirty...disgusting! Too add insult to injury the elevator broke down the day we were leaving and I had to bring down my luggage down this narrow staircase at 6am....from FIFTH floor!!! Not staying here again!

Called the hotel at around 9:30AM the day of our reservation to request an earlier check-in as the advertised time was 4PM and we were due to arrive much earlier than that and the forecast was for heavy rain all day - over the phone they said it might be possible in the afternoon. Arrived in the City at 11AM...

I was happy to book the "executive" room, but only the name is executive. The room is not bad, but I can't be smaller. Why calling it like this! For less than 70 euro that's fine because the location is great, but on an other it was more than 170 euros, it does not worth it !! It's clean, some...

Solo traveller with a single-bed room, which was rather spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel and room was painted an awful combination of blue/green paint and yes, there is a very unpleasant smell in the reception area but if you can look past these minor things, this is a perfectly adequate hotel with an excellent location, for a short stay...

Classified 3 star, Republik 110% fulfils its expectations. Friendly and helpful reception (Wawa?), compact, clean rooms with everything working, excellent wifi, elevator and an ideal location for walking everywhere. Highly recommended and would always stay here when in Lyon. Did not take breakfast as Eric Kayser was 100 metres away.

The hotel is steps away from Place Bellecour, an excellent location. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. That's all I can say for the positive. Despite having selected a supposedly "superior" room, it was one of the smallest hotel room I've ever seen, particularly because it was under the roof (attic room). The elevator doesn't even go all...

Clean, modern room. 24 hour check in, which is great if you are arriving late at night, which we did. Restaurants around the corner and right on the Rhone. 10-15 minute walk to the alleys of the old city and it's bouchons. Great airconditioning (it was really hot when we were there) and wifi.
