Fantastic, special place. It is beyond "quaint". We took a 7 mile walk from Chamonix and we happened upon this restaurant. While we didn't stay there, we found out about the option of being driven to and from our hotel if you have dinner there. We had a gastronomical dinner. The food is 5 star! Everyone sits at one large...

We normally stay in hotels, so this was a bit of a departure for us. We stayed in chalet La Batie set out on 3 floors. The individual rooms are a reasonable size (other chalets are bigger), although I would say that the stairs (ladders really!) between the floors are very steep, so you do need to be pretty able...

Drinks and dinner for eight people in late December - it could not have been more charming. The food was outstanding (firs gras, langoustine, veal), the setting is lovely and the staff are terrific. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and myself had the chance to spend one night at Les Chalets de Philippe. It was a fantastic experience from the reservation till the check out. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We rented the Chalet Clarine and could enjoy the fantastic location, and the outdoor jacuzzi. The chalet is well decorated and well equiped (nespresso...

We loved our time at Les Chalets de Philippe! We stayed in Les Clarins chalet and loved the perfectly cozy (and tiny) set up. We enjoy cooking and made a few of our own meals and found the kitchen to be well equipped for our needs. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided by the staff. The setting is gorgeous and...

Wow, what an experience. The day we arrived the newspaper told us that Kylie Minogue, Sophie Marceau etc. stayed here. There's some list of the top 8 hotels in the world and this is one of them. So you know you are in for something special. It's a bunch of charming chalets close together with short charming pathways separating them....

I stayed in two different Chalets over a 4 day period. A friend had recommended the place because it was unique and beautiful; the owner was charming and accommodating and the food was excellent. This all proved to be vaste understatement. One of the chalets was intimate in the style of a mountain chalet wirth period antiques and all the...

My husband and I loved everything about Philippe's Chalets. The windy paths with a sweet delight around every corner, the petite chalet that was, no doubt, tiny but more than comfortable and incredibley charming and cozy. The outdoor hot tub as snowflakes fall on your tongue. Champagne before dinner on the comfy couches in the communal area. Insanely delicious food....

This is probably the hardest review that I have had to write. Chalet Phillipe is not a conventional skiing retreat and will not be for everyone. It is beautiful as a hamlet of 500 year old cottages that ooze character. The location is delightful and with good snow allows a ski to the door experience. My first impressions were mixed,...
