We primarily chose this hotel because of the ratings on Tripadvisor and its value for money and were very pleased with our choice. The Hotel is only 2* - but this does not mean it is run down - it just means it doesnt have many 'perks' such as lifts, air con, swimming pool. A few points for anyone staying...

Spent 4 nights in Alexanda Hotel due to our love of the local area (canal side bars, restaurants, Lake, boat hire, water sports etc) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Met by friendly and welcoming staff on arrival and shown to our room, which was a standard double overlooking the canal. The room was amazingly well finished almost verging on "boutique"...

Our family of two adults and two kids (11 and 13) stayed here in June 2013. The location was excellent (close to the lake, bakeries, the old town, etc.) and the staff was very friendly and helpful (tips on sightseeing, etc.). The room size was small, but normal for hotels in Europe. It was a bit hot in the room...

Like someone said before, it is really well located, close to the entrance of the old town and also to the train station. Rooms were small just like most French hotels of the same category. Very nice breakfast and staff. When I wanted some tea during the afternoon I was offered a tray with cups and a teapot to take...

A 2 star hotel, very clean, great location, super staff and well priced. You do need to have the constitution of a mountain goat to negotiate the stairs but, other than that, a very good stay. Overnight car parking is paid by the hotel in a nearby garage.

Arrived May 3 and we were welcomed by a very friendly dutch speaking lady. She recommended us a good restaurant to eat: Freti. Beside that she was helpful in all ways. We stayed for one night on our way to Milan and it was more than good. We definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Rooms overlook not too busy street, very lovely. Great to have a balcony. Perfect location poised at the edge of Old Town, made for quick walking to lake and food. Bed was comfortable but not cozy. Rooms are tiny as is custom in Europe. They are in the process of refinishing the...

It's has the value of a three-star hotel. The rooms were new, clean and comfortable. A bit small though, but enjoyable. Basic French buffet breakfast. It is right in the centre of Annecy, a short walk from the lake. Would recommend and would stay there again. It also has an agreement with a big parking nearby.
