What a nice stay at this hotel. Great location, right by the metro station as well as the Vieux Port. The hotel is surrounded by little eateries as well as the more expensive touristy restaurants. We found the hotel staff kind and helpful. Breakfast was decent and plentiful. I would suggest for others to stay at this hotel.

We stayed for two nights at the Hotel Carre Vieux-Port Marseille. We had a reservation for a Comfort Double Room with Shower.

The remarkable feature of the hotel is its excellent location, just one block from the Vieux Port and also a block away from the Canebiere, Marseille's main avenue, surrounded by numerous food establishments and activities.

The rate does not include breakfast, but it is offered for an additional fee. There is also no parking available; if you have a car, you'll need to use one of the nearby public parking lots (which are underground and charge hourly or daily rates). The most convenient one I found and used is the Estienne d'Orves Parking, with a fee of €16.50 for 24 hours and located about four blocks away.

While the room was modern, it was quite small. The most notable aspect is the lack of storage space (no wardrobe for clothes, for example), only a small area with four hangers. We had to keep everything in our suitcases. The only useful amenity was a coffee maker.

The room had a window facing a pedestrian street in front of the building. If your priority is location rather than room comfort, it is definitely an option for you in Marseille.

I recently stayed at the Hôtel Carré Vieux Port in Marseille and my experience was generally positive. The room was spotlessly clean which helped make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent, marked by warmth and attentiveness.

The cleanliness of the room was undeniable, with meticulous maintenance which was appreciated. The facilities were well maintained, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

The hotel staff stood out for their warm and attentive service. The team members were always ready to accommodate my needs and provide useful information about local attractions.

The location of Hôtel Carré Vieux Port is an asset, providing easy access to tourist sites and restaurants in the area. This made my travels much easier and added significant value to my stay.

While my experience was generally positive, it's important to note that some hotel facilities could benefit from an update. However, this did not significantly affect my overall appreciation of the stay.

Bonjour, We have several types of rooms...and bathroom of course. The internet connection: we'll change this month to high speed connection (fiber). We couldn't before, because it doesn't exist yet (we have the better speed possible in the city center and will have a high-speed fiber very soon) ... But as you can read everywhere and according to our customer, our internet connection is good And, we ask the key each time you leave the hotel for a lot of reason (security, robbery, in case of loss and the very important thing: to welcome and give you a warm reception). We don't check Id because we know and trust our customer... I hope that we will come and see us again, to show you that our superior room are ok for you. Best regards

The staff is not well trained when it comes to recording if you made a reservation for breakfast or not. When you reserve the day before, they forget that you did and embarrass you in front of people asking you repeatedly if you did make a reservation. The lady at the breakfast buffet is extremely rude and condescending. They expect you to have breakfast everyday in their facility and will try to charge you even when you never made a reservation. It is much more pleasant to have breakfast at a café outside of the hotel than in their boring room on the first floor. They lack honesty and integrity. Very bad management. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism.

My son and I were here for the rugby World Cup and were delighted with hotel we chose . This is a typical French budget hotel and as such is perfect. The rooms are spotlessly clean, housecleaning including clean towels was done every day and the bathroom had a full array of toiletries. Even more impressive was air conditioning which actually worked! The location was amazing - literally 60 seconds from the metro and the port.

Convenient location beside metro, bus stops and port. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The first room wasn’t great - shower was at shoulder height, the staff member took a lot of effort but eventually was able to change rooms for me to one with a proper shower.
Room is very quiet despite busy location.

Area felt a little unsafe at night but Marseille feels rough and unsavoury in general.

The hotel is in a great location near the port city centre metro buses and trams and for boats to the islands.
Staff all very helpful and welcoming , thank you.
Room was a bit smaller than we expected which was not a problem for our overnight stay but might be a bit inconvenient for a longer stay.
Breakfast good although eating outside was a bit of a journey. We didn’t find an area to sit but we may just have missed it but it wasn’t a problem for our overnight stay. We were in Marseilles for the rugby World Cup staying on a cruise ship in the commercial port but we would have had a better time if we had stayed longer with you - which is a compliment so thank you

This was a great centrally located hotel. My husband and I spent two nights at this hotel. We had a room with a queen bed, courtyard view and plenty of space.

The location of the hotel is perfect, close to many restaurants as well as walking distance to many of the attractions that we visited in the area.

We found the staff to be very accommodating. They spoke English and were helpful in answering any questions we had.

Although the hotel does not have parking on site there is overnight parking in a garage nearby.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel.

Stayed for a week here.
Great location for all the sites, and good restaurants nearby.
All of the staff are friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast is good but it can be busy in the breakfast room so needed to sit in the reception area, no problem as you can then also watch life go by outside.
Room was of a sufficient size for us, bed very comfortable, and noise from the street went in the evening when the windows were closed.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone
