Rooms are very small, there isn't wardrobe.
Clear, good shower.
As we arrived before, we have paid 4 euros for let each luggage...we think that this service is very expensive.
The hotel is in a very good position and very clear to the hotel there is a very good boulangerie - closed on sunday.
Recomended for short stay.
We reach the hotel at 1130am but Check in is only available at 1pm. We are asked to store our luggage at the payment storage. We choose a big storage that cost $8.
Went back to check in at 3pm, to my surprised we was given a double room that is so small and they added a sofa bed, there was no walking space at all for 3 person. Its not what was shown on the website that i have booked. Went back to check with the reception, she said they are fully book and there is no double bed with a bunk. There is no way for 3 of us to stay in such a small room so we have no choice but to book another double room. If i know we will be given double room with a sofabed, no way i will book this hotel. I feel so cheated and disappointed.
The only good about this hotel is the location near lots of eatery.
My room was on the 7th floor. I think all rooms on this floor are built into the roof eaves so there was only a velux/skylight window. You couldn’t see out unless you stood on a chair – I did this and could see the old port. Room was very clean. Room didn’t have a fridge, kettle, safe or cupboards etc. It was small but perfectly adequate for a night or two.
Location is brilliant – you’re only a couple of minutes from the old port with heaps of restaurants and ferries etc. I also walked to the Basilica Notre Dame de la Garde which was about 25 minutes uphill from the hotel - or take bus 60.
Breakfast was €8.90 and it was great value with plenty of choice including scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheese, croissants, mini pancakes and pastries, yoghurts, fruit compôtes etc.
Hotel is very close to a square with lots of alfresco dining – rooms facing on to it can be a bit noisy at night. I would definitely stay here again.
Value for money goes well with a varied and plentiful breakfast and a wide range of hours
There was a very strong sewage smell in the corridor, thankfully not in the room.
We arrived early thinking we could leave our luggage until our room was ready but were told they wouldn't hold our luggage and instead we were given an address on the Vieux Port where we could leave our luggage for a fee (something like 3.50 euros for 3 hours). In my opinion this is extremely poor service.
We regretted choosing this hotel and would not stay there again.
The only problem was parking, they do offer on site parking underneath the hotel, but my car was deemed too big. Alternative parking is available nearby (Indigo) but at a higher price.
The hotel is situated at 100 metres from the quayside of the Vieux Port, making sightseeing such as the Basilica of Notre Dame very accessible.
"If you are hauling luggage, approach the hotel from rue Breteil/rue Sainte, not from Place aux Huiles, to avoid steps."Read full review
