We stayed a night in July in a dbl room. It was worth of money and even we got the last available room, the hotel was really quiet. Great thanks to the staff, which was really helpful and Spoke excellent English.

Having arrived late in Marseille after a long journey my friend and I wanted to relax on the first night and have a drink in the courtyard. It was past midnight and the lobby was now closed but we sat anyway for a drink outside, 5 minutes later we saw our first rat of the trip but didn't expect it... More

My experience at Hotel Vertigo was amazing, it's just the type of place you are looking for when planning a trip to the South of France. The decor was really young and hip, with vintage quirky finds decorating the lobby. The hotel also has great commons areas including a kitchen and outdoor terrace, although we didn't get a chance to... More

We stayed one night. Perfect location for train/bus stations. Staff very helpful and unobstrusive. Nice room on top floor with bathroom and balcony. Ideal for exploring the centre and port of Marseille. Highly recommended. Traveller Tip: if you have heavy baggage don't lug it up all those steps to Gare St. Charles for your onward train - instead enter the... More

We were very pleased with our stay here. The reception were very helpful and friendly and we were happy with our private room with en-suite and we had our own balcony. Not a bad location close to train station although we would have like to have been closer to the port-about a 15 min walk-down/up hill. Not an overly party... More

Overall great stay of 3 nights. Previous reviews were all accurate. Perfect location to station to do day trips, in my case, to cassis, les calanques and Aix en Provance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Security is good with 24 hour reception and self locking doors in the room. That said, they should really get some lockers for added... More

The staff was super nice and helpful - they were great. The problem was the kitchen: it had dirty dishes in the sink and no soap that we could find to clean them with so that we could use the pot to make our food. The room was nice and the bunks were quite good. The common areas were a... More

We prebooked a double-room to stop over at from our flight and had no idea what to expect. The place is more akin to a very decent hotel sans television/minibar (but who actually needs that crap anyway, aside from lonely businessmen?). The staff were extremely helpful, everything was very clean, the bathroom large/well-stocked, beds comfortable, breakfast good. No doubt we... More

We spent there one night and we were in the room on the ground floor. It was pretty cold outside and we had to turn on the heaters (there were three heaters in our room - two in the bedroom and one in the bathroom). But still it was rather cold there. I coundn't use the internet because of a... More

I wouldn’t call this one a ‘hotel’, but rather a hostel with a few hotel type rooms on the top floors. Which means that you actually get all the hostel amenities: common kitchen, common room, etc. The rooms are simple, but clean, stylish and very cosy. Ours had a small terrace which was great for spending late evenings with a... More
