The location of this little hotel could not be better just one block away from the lovely promenade and beach. There is limited parking at the front of the hotel but we request private parking at the back in the locked garden and at 6 € a night was well worth it you just have to tell the manager who was very helpful when you are getting in and out as they have 2 dogs but this was not a problem at all Our room number 11 on the first floor reached by carpeted stairs (there is no lift) was very good with a large furnished terrace at the front and was very quiet a large room with built in wardrobe, the bed was quite high and if you are a bit short like me you might need to jump up (good fun) the bathroom had a couple of steps leading up to it and although on the small size it was fit for purpose, the room and bathroom was always very clean and the towels changed every day unless you ask otherwise. We opted not to have breakfast so cannot comment on this but we are sure it was a typical french one, we had a lovely 7 days stay celebrating my birthday and as long as you are not looking for luxury the Hotel Preconil has good clean comfortable rooms with the bonus of being close to the pretty town and lovely beach, we would definitely stay again and recommend staying here.

Enjoyed our stay here. Beds supercomfortable, generous balcony, clean, felt like home. Pleasant people. Free parking on first come first served basis. Good internet. Close to city beach, central, but quiet beautiful street, with supermarket across from us. Air conditioning was clean and quiet. We felt relaxed and happy here.

Nice place in a good location for a decent price. Simple but very clean room with bright decor and good bathroom. All staff friendly and helpful. This place might not be new but it is being looked after very well and everything is spotless. I would stay here again.

Stayed one night in a double room with terrace. No needs for the terrace though if you don't smoke and not going to spend your days sitting in the room. Just extra charge for the terrace. The room is nice and clean. There is a shower as well, inbuilt wardrobe. Internet works well, every device will get separate access printed on receipt.the bed is comfy. The hotel is ideal for people who not spoiled by luxury. We didn't regret for booking anyway. Sainte Maxime is a nice town with large raw of hotels along the coast. Saint tropes is just 10-13 km away. In the morning we got French breakfast for 8,50€ each, incl. croissants, fruity jams, butter, spreadable cheese, baguettes, Nutella, orange juice and coffee. Proper sweet breakfast as French people like. If you like common clean accommodation with central location, then the hotel Is perfect for you. We paid 65€ for us both for 1 night

This hotel is basically a block from the beach in Saint Maxime. They have a limited number of parking spaces for free! It's a good spot if you're visiting the beach in Saint Maxime, although I would strongly steer you towards other South France destinations like Les Isambres, Saint Raphael, Cannes, or Nice.

I was here in the beginning of June staying two nights with a friend, both Australian, but living in Sweden. Upon arrival, we instantly loved the location of this place. It's not on the main road, but close enough that you are not far away from the restaurants, shops and it's very close to the beach. When we were checking in, I didn't speak to the owner, and didn't have to as my friend speaks French rather fluently. However when my suitcase was in her way (which I did not realise as she had appeared from behind us), she was speaking in French and my friend told me she didn't sound too happy at all that I was in her way (for literally a couple of seconds). When we arrived in our room, I was a bit disappointed as our room looked nothing like what I saw on the site we were booking from (hotel looked old, but rooms rather modern). Our room was very old looking, even to the point the television was old and looked more fit for a retirement home than the more modern look I had seen on the site. The pillows for our beds were the long, sausage type ones, which meant my head was far too close to the head of the bed, where my curly hair kept catching on the bed head design. The bathroom was clean, which was nice, but my friend told me he kept getting caught on the curtain, and I had extreme trouble shaving my legs (I’m only 155cm tall) because the shower was too narrow. The walls and floor are like tissue paper. You can hear people simply walking on the floor above and people simply talking as well in the surrounding rooms. Made it very easy to wake up at about 5:30am, which we didn’t want. Also, there is no lift, so you have to lug heavy suitcases up at least one flight of stairs (depending on the floor you are on). We didn’t have the breakfast as we had preferred to dine out, but it was a bit frustrating having to say each DAY that we did not want to have breakfast, otherwise they would charge the breakfast price to our rooms. Considering the city this hostel is located in, the price is very reasonable and good if you are wanting somewhere to stay on a budget for a few days...just don’t be surprised if the room you get looks nothing like the photos.

We stayed in a room for 4 people, room was nothing special but ok. We booked room with a balcony, which I recommend, as our balcony was really big. We did not have problem with parking, there were some free places right before the hotel. Staff was very polite, with good knowledge of english. The hotel is not far from beach, which was perfect.

Our room was a good size and had a balcony which was nice to sit out on to have a glass of wine and something to eat ,even though it did overlook a carpark and the back of some apartments ,but that was not a problem .The Bathroom was clean a bit small but adequate .The thing that stood out for us was the friendly owner ,she was very chatty and spoke excellent English so we had no need for our survival French ,I,m glad to say .Great location in a lovely town .

A quiet hotel in a sidestreet within walking distance of the shops and the beach. Parking is available in a car park about 100 yards walk away from the hotel. There is no restaurant in the hotel but plenty in the town to suit all tastes and purses. Our room was air conditioned which meant we were able to sleep well despite the heat outside. The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke good english.
