Nestled in a row of good solid lunch places just off the tramline on Rue Jean Medecin, Le Cenac has the friendliest service. They have good cheap breakfast and the best coffee on "the row". You can eat "outside" in any weather.

Wé were a party of 5 including 2 vegetarians and all was good. I think specialising in veal but excellent artichoke risotto and gorgonzola gnocchi. Very decent carafe red wine. Friendly service and well frequented by locals. Average 18-20€ for a dish. Lamb shank looked good as well.

By the way, this is not a hotel as fare as I can tell, its a restaurant. A nice place to sit outside, fairly busy, average service and average food. Not cheap for what one gets. Not sure I would go back.

The rooms are upstairs from the excellent restaurant with the same name and there is noise from the restaurants on the street below all evening. There is no regular reception or hotel staff, but the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful...
