The location was good, the tram stop is just outside which takes your all around nice! The staff are lovely and the rooftop bar is great, with a wide selection of cocktails its a great place to chill out after a busy day exploring.
Followed instructions on the hotel website easy and €1.50 from airport on bus. Reception staff so helpful and the bedrooms clean, comfy and excellent air-con. Loved that I had gone for a balcony room.
There are no drink making facilities in the room but this...More

Thank you for your nice comment about our hotel.
Indeed, our roof top is often fully booked in the evening, that is why it is preferable to book in advance.

Great first night in our hotel. Fab birthday cocktail - a Masquerade - made by a friendly New Yorker, reminding me of my time working for the Port Authority of NY & NJ. Bring on tomorrow 👍🥂Ideally placed to visit Cannes and Monaco by bus...More

Hi - We were in Nice for a couple of days on our way to Corsica. We aren't beach people ourselves, but we did go along the promenade while we were there. The beach itself is a real long stretch, however it's mainly pebbles rather than sand. It wasn't too busy when we were there. The sea looked really inviting! We also visited Monte Carlo. Best way to get there is via the train which runs from Nice Ville station which is only a short walk from the hotel. Trains rune every 30 minutes or so and it takes 25 minutes. Cost is a snip at 4EUR return! That line runs along the coast so you can also get to Cannes, St Tropez, etc really easily. As for food and drink, we only went to a couple of places. 1 was in the TA top 20 and you could tell the difference in quality. I'd say go somewhere better and have a Main and maybe a dessert - Avoid the restaurants around the squares, although it looks like they have good deals on 'formules' i.e. 3 courses, the quality is iffy. Best places we saw for food at good prices was in the narrow streets of the old town, mainly pasta and pizza. The old town is definitely worth a wander through anyway. If you are looking for food through the day then I'd suggest picking up bread, fruit, cheese, etc from the daily market on the Cours Saleya which is just back from the Beach. All fresh and great quality. Even if you don't buy anything it's great just to go and take a look. As for drinks, there were a few bars advertising happy hours, but the savings weren't that great. Drinks seem expensive everywhere, with best value being house wines. The French don't really do any bad ones! Monte Carlo prices were similar to Nice if you stay away from the Casino area of course. We really enjoyed our time in Nice, hope you do too!
