We returned from the Petit Palais yesterday It was superb in all areas. The staff, notably, Phillipe, Daniel, Joseph and Kevin were superb. There were others behind the scenes but I don't know their names. A wonderful break in Nice, lovely breakfast, great room service, lovely garden. All round perfect.

Dear Cary, Thank you for your excellent review. We were happy to meet you in Le Petit Palais for such a great event. Thank you for Kevin who is always ready to run the extra mile with and for you. Thank you for the Team in general. If I read you well you have chosen our Villa Belle Epoque as your residence in Nice. We will warmly welcome you again in the future. Always great to talk with the people from United States. I always remember that the friendship between our two countries dates from 1776 and the glorious help of General La Fayette to the eternal George Washington and his revolutionnary team. You will always be welcome in France in general and particularly in Nice and in his "Terrific" Petit Palais Sincerely Yours Philip for the Team

This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Only 25 rooms in a quiet residential area. Very peaceful and exceptional staff, who above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We relaxed at the hotel pool and in the gardens quite a lot. It is kept immaculate by the staff. The walk into Old town Nice is about 15 mins downhill, so we got an Uber back for €12 and only waited 2 mins for it to arrive. The breakfast is excellent, the dining room is beautifully furnished but we sat out on the terrace. There is a well stocked bar, small pool in the gardens with about 12 sun loungers and a small seating area. We stayed in room 209 which was lovely. Bathroom quite small with an over bath shower (impossible not to get the floor wet due to placement of the shower itself!) Good size, comfortable bed. Very large TV with Netflix, Prime, etc. etc. Tea/coffee facilities and we’ll stocked fridge with extra drinks etc. would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely friendly hotel, everyone made you feel a genuinely welcome guest. Great breakfast. It's in a great location for visiting the old town and worthwhile getting an Uber back to avoid climbing back up the hill.

Dear JMT from Sussex, Thank you so much for your fantastic review that gives in a few words so nice description and tips. The Uber service works perfectly in Nice and this is true that, if you do not want to climb up 90 meters high, it is one of the best solution to come back easily at the Hotel. You can also rent a scooter or an electric bike but most of our guests take it easy by foot also. As you wish. With guest of your quality it is not difficult to be lovely friendly. Greetings to United Kingdom from Nice. Kind regards Philip for the Team

I booked this hotel 11 months ago which I also requested a secure car parking space. Upon arrival the hotel is set on a hilltop with pleasant views of Nice, however its quite daunting driving around the narrow streets to access the hotel. Once we'd navigated these streets and booked into the hotel, I was informed that there was no secure parking available and i would have to park on the streets outside. I said i'd booked 11 months ago a parking space for my vehicle, which basically fell on deaf ears and no I hadn't. I showed the Manager my original request but nothing, no apology. I somehow manage to find a space nearby the hotel. Checking out of the hotel after two days my car had been vandilsed and the rear passenger window smashed. Of course I was furious and although the person on reception helped me clean up the mess of broken glass, I wanted a full explanation why a parking space wasn't honoured to my request? I've emailed the hotel and still nothing from them not even an acknowledgement. This hotel ruined my holiday and certainly tarnished my impression of Nice. Anyone looking to stay at this hotel and are thinking of driving, book elsewhere or book a parking space inside the hotel grounds. Simply the area isn't safe around this part of Nice.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your message. We do apologize for this situation but we have also some arguments to oppose to your critics. The Hotel Petit Palais has 25 rooms and only a two spaces parking. You will easily understand that we do not publish on a so small service. This is the reason why it is clearly written in the terms and conditions of the website Booking.com, where you have booked, that there is no parking available in Hotel Petit Palais. This is the reason why we did not answer to your request : the possibility to book a parking space in Le Petit Palais on Booking.com is not available. On the other hand and as far as I can remember a broken car glass in these streets occurs one time every twenty years. You can not say that the Area of Cimiez is not safe this is the oldest and richest residential area of the town and the neighbourhood is La Bourgeoisie de Nice among beautiful villas and gardens. By the way we can not be held responsible for an event that occurs at 400 meters from our property. Best regards Philip Front Office Manager Daniel Assistant General Manager

There are so many reasons that our choice to stay at the Hotel Petit Palais in Nice was spot on! First, the staff- Kevin, Philippe etc. were some of the most accommodating and helpful staff we have encountered in ages. They went out of their way assisting both before arrival and during our stay. They truly care about the experience of their guests. The property itself was lovely- we had 2 garden rooms with a very nice outdoor area. The tiny pool was relaxing and just steps away. The rooms were comfy with very good AC. The breakfast was quite good (with 2 levels of pricing available) but even better there was a bar open in the evenings. The property is locating on the hillside about 10-15 minutes from the touristic (terrible) center of Nice. It was a perfect spot to escape the craziness. It is also very close to the Chagal museum. Thank you again for a fantastic stay.

Good Morning America, Thank you dear Kpenning for your terrific review. We are so happy to welcome guests from The United States in Europe, in France, in Nice my town and particularly in Le Petit Palais Thank you for the staff who maintain a tipically french way of welcome in the respect of our tradition. You noticed some important points about our Villa Belle Epoque: the super quiet and "très bourgeois" neighbourhood of the Hill of Cimiez. On the hill you will escape through the gardens to the Chagall Museum, the Matisse Museum but also the roman arenas and the Franciscan Monastery of Cimiez and his garden. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city center our hidden Gem is ready to welcome you again following your desires. Sincerely Yours Kind regards Philip

Such a beautiful hotel! Our room, the view, the pool area, the breakfast room were all just lovely! We had a wonderful 3 night stay & totally recommend Petit Palais. The staff were kind & helpful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood up a hill, but so great to be a bit outside the bustle of Old Nice. The A/C was perfect.

This wonderful boutique hotel set in a quiet residential district ticked all the boxes. Rooms are nicely decorated with great showers. Staff are amazing - so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts very good and they also serve a selection of meals in room service. Surrounded by small lush gardens, little seating areas and a lovely pool. Can't wait to return to this hotel and the city of Nice.
