We have been to Nice a number of times previously, on this occassion away for my partners birthday and stayed at the Hotel West End during the second week of March. We paid extra for the sea-view (mistake) and for a 'Superior Room' (312), whilst the room had potential the 'shag-pile' carpet needs vacuming. We found 2 ear-ring backs (butterfly's)...

Dear Les G In such mild temperatures areas as ours, being eco responsible is more than an option. We recommend all our guests to stop the heating for better comfort. Clearly the temperatures in March in Nice are not as high as in tropical areas and never been higher than 19 degrees maximum on daytime in the early days of...

We stayed here for one week with my wife. She has an anniversary. Location is perfect, close to Negresco Hotel on Boulevard des Andlais. The service in the hotel is not matching the level of 4 star hotel at all. There is no everyday filling with shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. There is absolutely no body lotion and...

I traveled to Nice with my two children, ages 3 and 7 for a weekend holiday. We drove from our home in Spain and the hotel was very helpful in telling me where to park a few days before the trip. We parked in the suggested lot and walked about 100 meters to the hotel with our luggage. The staff...

always loved to visit the city of Nice, so when I went on vacation this week we were happy to stay at the West End Hotel on the Promenade des Anglais. Without doubt the best hotel of its kind, we got the room 421 which is gifted with both mountain vies and the beach, spacious, well-equipped, maintained at a high...

This Hotel is lovely. It dates from 1841. The ground floor reception and circulation areas have retained their old world charm, however the rooms (all the ones we saw anyway) are very new and modern with all the expected comforts. Even the lowest priced rooms, although small, are very nice. Although it doesn't say so on the web site, all...

Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. This is an old hotel that needs a major refurbishment, although it has lots of charm and is very well located facing the sea at the center of the Promenade. The rooms are small and aging, but still comfortable. Breakfast variety and quality were ok, but messy as soon as a bit busy. Also...
