I originally checked in for 3 nights with a room with sea view for my anniversary. No early check in or offer to pay for one so wondered about for 6 hours til room was ready.
As this was during Covid I expected things to be a lot different from normal but didn’t expect not to be able to use the pool as the allocated 3 hour slots for the next 2 days were all fully booked!
The hotel charges 25 euros each for a bed on the beach which I think is extortionate.
The room we were allocated was huge, there was tea, coffee etc in a paper bag but no kettle or cups( due to COVID government rules apparently, even though the next 3 hotels we used had them).
Off to see our sea view which was very disappointing! The one and only palm tree blocked our whole view, I paid a fair amount for the privilege. I went straight down to reception to see if I can move room but told yes if I paid 50euros for the price of cleaning the room, stayed only one night and cancelled the next 2.
The hotel is nice enough but certainly doesn’t justify the price I paid.
Room was clean, staff were nice, slow service at roof top pool but lovely drinks and very nice bar, pool small but it’s expected for Nice.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your visit to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nice . We regret to hear that your experience hasn't been totally satisfactory. Due to strict covid 19 restrictions, we were obligated to implement strong measures that would guaranty the safety of all of our guest. That is why we put in place this reservation system for any use of the sunbeds at the pool, and this is also the reason for coffee in a paper bag sealed with a sticker. Concerning the kettle, please next time don't hesitate to contact the reception for any demands of the sort, they would be glad to instantly remedy to this. Please accept our sincere apologies for the shortfalls you encountered as you have mentioned, and those points will be highly taken under consideration and informed to the concern department heads to seek a prompt improvement. It is always a pleasure to have you as our guest and on behalf of all the ambassadors at Radisson Blu Hotel, Nice, we look forward to welcoming you back. The hotel was located on the promenade approximately 30 minutesalk to the edge of the city, a pleasant flat walk, there is a tram stop behind the hotel that runs every 5 minutes and is both timely and very reasonable (buy a multi not single ticket though it’s much cheaper this way) our room was ok but not the quality I would expect from the Radisson Group so felt a little let down. The food was good as were the communal areas. We had the hotel organise us a car to take us to a restaurant further down the promenade were we in the car six minutes and they charged us £25 euros which was a complete rip off. Pool was very pretty but very cold. Price for two cokes 11 euro!Overall ok but have been in better Radisson hotels.

Our holiday was booked in February but only definite after a government review within days of travelling. I chose the Radisson blu to be a modern hotel and on the sea front but only after knowing the tram runs behind the hotel every 4 minutes into Nice, walking the lovely promenade would take 45 minutes.A tram ticket bought at the airport for 10 trips cost 10 euros,we quickly left the airport on a tram and within 15 minutes we alighted at the stop St Helene which is 1 minute from the rear door of the Radisson.
The check in was easy and included a sanitary pass ( a check we were double vaccinated and given a wrist band). The hotel is modern, staff were excellent and we were happy with our rear facing room as we expected to be out sightseeing most days, the bathroom is shower over bath but the triple dispensers for wash, shampoo and conditioner were hateful as the holder prevents the plunger working effectively, overall a nice room with seating and ample facilities including easy and competent wi fi
Our room was on the 6 th floor,we used the free 7 th floor gym, and 8 th floor pool and sunbeds which were free, across the road is a hotel beach restaurant and sunbeds area but these come at a charge.
Don’t expect Nice to be a cheap place, you can easily be shocked at prices from sunbeds, food and drinks,
We had a nice stay and holiday ,we loved Nice, the Hotel and Nice operated a safe approach to COVID and everyone complied with wearing masks on transport, in shops etc.nothing oppressive just sensible, the restaurants all checked your double vaccination bar code on the NHS app before accepting you but again not an issue, we took the main train to Monaco for a day out and later in the week took the train to Cannes for another day out, the main train station has a walk in facility for PCR testing prior to homeward travel which we used for 45 euros each. A good hearty breakfast at the hotel sets you up a good days exploring and the restaurants in the old town of Nice are a lovely end in this vibrant city.
Overall a lovely holiday with no major glitches with travelling or stay at the hotel,we did actually move rooms due to a technical issue and the sea view rooms had a stunning view and the balcony doors have twin double glazed sliding door which means the rooms are quiet from any road noise below.
Overall the Radisson blu was a good stay for us with its modern feel excellent staff and sea view.

I stayed at this hotel for a week during August. It’s a nice hotel and the staff were fine. I understand what people mean when they say that staff sometimes are not so friendly. The man that checked me in was friendly but also wanted to help about 20 other customers and concierge staff members at the same time so it made me feel a bit “un-special”.

I had a premium room with a sea view and was not disappointed. I had a 6th floor room with a great view. The hotel room was cleaned well on a daily basis, although i would have liked my towel changed a bit more frequently (one day it was on the floor but wasn’t changed)

The tram stop to the airport and centre of town is around the back of the hotel which is convenient.

I do have to say, as a radisson rewards member, i was a bit disappointed that there was no hotel discount for the beach chairs/loungers. I was told it was a different company.....yet you could charge the food to the hotel....? But either way, i found that to be a bit cheeky.

But, i would go back again. The hotel is a very nice hotel. The rooms are renovated and the people want the best for their guests. Thank you!

Indeed this is our busiest time of the year, and we benefit from a high frequentation, this is why you might have noticed a high number of clients. We are reviewing our protocols with our housekeeping departement to make sure that this does not happen again. We have transmitted your comment about the beach to our management team, they are taking into acount your suggestion. We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. When we arrived at around 10am not only was our room ready but we had been upgraded to a premium sea view room.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming and went out of their way to help.
The pool is amazing and was nice and peaceful with plenty of spare beds and great pool side bar service.
Breakfast was brilliant as although it’s not a buffet there is a lot of choice if you ask. They offer everything from smoked salmon and poached eggs to omelettes, fruit salad, pastries etc so you never get bored.

We also used the gym which you just book at reception (only 2 people Max at a time) but never had any problems getting the time we wanted.
The room was cleaned everyday and clean towels every other day.

We got to the hotel from the airport via the tram which was a couple of euros each and took about 15mins. The tram stop is right outside the back of the hotel and for 10 euros you can get a card for 10 trips. This is handy as you can get into the centre of nice in around 15mins where the best nightlife and restaurants are.

The area near the hotel lacks bars and restaurants but planet sushi nearby was lovely and it’s easy to get to all the restaurants in the centre on the tram.

You can also get to the train station easily for day trips to Monaco and Cannes.
I highly recommend this hotel for location if you don’t want to hire a car and all it’s amenities. I would definitely rate it 10/10!

Most terrible hotel ever. It suppose to be 2 stars. Service is just a nightmare, the worst. Food is not tasty, the same dish is always cooked differently. One dish can be divided into two and counted as two. Beach must be booked few days in advance, it is also not convenient, the service is also terrible, sometime they cant find the room number and you need to wait. The rooms are poorly cleaned, everything is dirty. I twice asked to bring soap to the room, but no one brought it. On the vip parking opposite hotel, which is 40 EUR a day, somebody crashed client car....
Thus, you have to pay for everything, and book everything. The hotel has approximatly 270 rooms... the swimming pool has only 40 places, as well as the restaurant that you also have to book in advance...

Dear guest, We thank you very much for sharing your feedback after visiting Radisson Blu Hotel Nice. We are deeply sorry that your experience did not reach your expectations. We apologize for the lack of consistency in the service of the room. However, our valet service costs 32€, not 40€.Our hotel has 331 rooms and offerts 58 places around the swimming pool during these tough COVID19 times. That said, we will continue working hard to improve the quality of our services. We would be very happy to welcoming you back in Radisson Blu Hotel Nice within your next stay in the French Riviera. Myself and my wife stayed the this hotel for 2 nights for our anniversary. The staff were very welcoming and the room was stunning. We had dinner in the calade restaurant on the 8th floor which was 1st class and the waiters were top class.
As a bit of advice rather than using the taxi from the airport which costs around €30 you can wither walk to the hotel which takes around 35 mins or get the tram from outside terminal 1, this cost €1.50 and drops you at the back of the hotel. Monaco is well worth a visit for stunning views and lovely walks, again cheap to get there at €7.00 return.

We will certainly be returning

Decent hotel with nice view from front rooms. Good soundproof from noisy road. Tram station at back of hotel very convenient to get into Nice and to and from airport amazing value - just €1 per Person if you buy a 10 journey ticket which can be used for multiple people.

Reason for low score is poor system hotel has to book sun loungers on roof top pool. When checked in on a Friday, was told like a previous reviewer, the sun loungers were booked up for 3 days. Not good enough. A much fairer system is to allow bookings up to 24 hours in advance so ALL guests have a chance to book one. I had contacted the hotel a few days earlier asking to reserve a pool slot (having read a previous review) and didn’t even get curtesy of a reply. Very unprofessional. We know Covid means challenges for hotels, but this system isn’t fairly set up for ALL customers.

Instead of the roof top loungers we were offered to utilise the ones on the beach front across the road from the hotel. These are €20 each per person plus €5 for a towel so for 2 nights/ 3 days a cost of €150 just to lie on a sun lounger for the weekend. There isn’t even a discount for
Hotel patrons. The beach isn’t even that nice as full of pebbles. Given the hotel rates are over €300 a night this is extortionate. The hotel needs to change its Covid booking system to make it fairer for ALL patrons in the hotel to book sun loungers just 24 hours ahead and hope it does as a result of my and others feedback on here.

We booked this hotel for four nights through the American Express Hotel Collection, and assumed we would recieve a room upgrade, but upon arrival were told that the hotel was full and it wasn't possible. This was strange, as the hotel was still advertising rooms at a very high walk-in rate, so we can only assume these rooms were being kept for this purpose.
Our room was incredibly Spartan, with no minibar (a basic requirment in any decent hotel), no facecloths, no bathrobes and no slippers; and the toiletries screwed to the wall so tightly it was impossible to get anything out of them. The good points were that the windows (facing the street) were large and well sound proofed, and the aircon worked well.
Two tiny bottles of water were provided in the room, but these were not replenished at all during our stay.
We decided to eat in the restaurant on the roof terrace, and despite the restaurant interior being completely empty, we waited twenty minutes for someone to greet us, only to be told the kitchen was closed. They pointed us in the direction of the adjoining rooftop bar, where they served tapas. We sat down and was given a menu by the waitress, but when we tried to order, we were told that there was no tapas as the kitchen was closed. Not a great start.
Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, and we were pleasantly surprised, but this was the only redeeming feature of our stay, sadly. We're unlikely to stay here again, based on this experience.

We notified the hotel that this will be our honeymoon. We got married a couple of months ago and we are looking forward to this trip as we could finally travel due to Covid. We requested for one bed obviously. The hotel gave us two single beds. On the first night we pushed them together but it was uncomfortable. On the second night we asked for the housekeeping to make sure the beds were properly together so that we can feel as if it is one bed but my back was aching from the gap so we had to sleep on our separate beds. I went to complain to the reception and asked them to move us as I already saw online that they had other rooms available. They refused to move us and we still had a few nights left. Unfortunately we had already paid so could not move to another hotel. Imagine sleeping separately from your husband on your honeymoon. It was really disappointing and a waste of money for us.
On the bright side we spent a lot of time outside of the hotel viewing niece and also Monaco. Nice is a beautiful city and I would highly recommend visiting Nice. There are more hotels further along the beach closer to new city and old city that I would probably stay in next time.

They say room service is 24 seven but it is not. Many times in the evening I had to go downstairs and collect my own water from the lobby as room service was not available.

They also have their own area on the beach which is a private area. You have to pay to use it but other hotels have nicer areas with bars and restaurants and also beach beds that you can use for free so I would recommend that you explore those if you stay at Radison

On the bright side this photo seems a bit more modern compared to a lot of the other hotels in Nice and also it has a lovely terrace bar and Paul and restaurant that you may enjoy
