We were 2 ladies wanting to park ourselves in Avignon for a week, kick back and take some local tours (wine tours, small villages). This was the ideal spot for us at the foot of the Palais on a nice quiet street and close to some great restaurants that were recommended to us by Francoise and Jean Michel. We stayed...

We stayed four nights in this exceptionally friendly home within the walls of Avignon. Owners Francoise, Jean Michel and their son, Cyril made our stay comfortable and guided us towards exceptional dining experiences within walking distance. Our room (Forastero) was comfortable though a little tight, but the common spaces beyond allowed more freedom to stretch out in comfort. Breakfast was...

Avignon was our fifth stop in our two week drive through Provence sampling truffles and for the release of the beaujolais nuevo. I chose this guesthouse because of the Tripadvisor reviews and they were correct; this is a great place to stay, and booked the Guanaja room in 2/08 for 125 euros/per night via their website. Upon arrival, we were...

A hidden oasis of fantastic quality, the room was lovely and the bathroom was wonderful. Situated in the centre of Avignon and close to some lovely restaurants. Owner extremely friendly and not intrusive, breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately no parking, however public parking close by.

'La Banasterie' is a brilliant bed and breakfast located in the heart of Avignon. We had a fantastic stay there - our room was spacious, quiet, clean and charming. It is the kind of place where no detail is missed - from the yummy chocolates on arrival to the generous continental breakfast. Located around the corner from the 'Palais des...

On arrival we met the owner who gave us a choice of rooms as there was another one available. We chose a room on one of the upper levels, after deciding the room on the top level might be too warm and a little too dark. The building is located in the centre of the old part of the city...

ROOM: We stayed in the Quazequotal (sp?) room on the upper floor. There is a bed in one room, with a second twin bed in an adjacent "sleeping porch". The room was absolutely charming with plenty of space. We also had a private outdoor roof-top patio. We had also considered Le Meridiene, and were very glad we chose this property...

We stayed at La Banasterie in the Trinitario suite, which was wonderful - with comfortable king-sized bed and a great shower. The whole place is beautifully decorated (and atmospheric, with candles lit at night). It is on a quiet street yet very close to the main sights, the owners are very helpful (great restaurant recommendations) and it has good breakfasts....

My wife and I and 2 other couples stayed at La Banasterie for four nights in early October. In all respects we were completely satisfied with our accommodations. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from all of the major sites in Avignon. The host was very helpful but not intrusive and the breakfasts were wonderful. The rooms...
