In late April this year we spent 4 days/nights in Avignon at the Hotel de l'Horloge, and the experience was just lovely. Hotel staff are very warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgable and, overall, the hotel is delightful. Hotel de l'Horloge is in a great location - right in the lovely square near the Palais des Papes - and is central...

Having just returned from a four night stay in Avignon I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this hotel to anyone wishing to visit this beautiful, historic Provençal town. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a well stocked mini bar. Staff we're very helpful and helped us with information about local amenities and opportunities for our short stay....

I cannot believe the positive comments from others re: this hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the location. It feels like a 1 or 2 star hotel...the lobby is small and dingy, the corridors are very narrow and full of stairs. I reserved a superior room and got 308 which is small, dark...the bathroom is so...

Other than the fact that trying to drive through the old city of Avignon is a nightmare .... There was no place to park outside the hotel - so we blocked the (tiny) street, ran in and asked for guidance. They told us to unload our bags and gave very detailed directions to get to the carpark. We stayed here...

We have just enjoyed 3 nights at this hotel which is on the main square of Avignon so a short walk across to the Palace of the Popes and all that the lovely village of Avignon has to offer. Our room, which was spacious, clean, fresh and very comfortable, overlooked the Square with opening windows to enjoy the ambience of...

My wife and I had the good fortune to spend 4 nights in the Hotel de L'Horloge. First of all, it's location, location, location. You could not find a better location to explore Avignon. It is located right next to the main square of the city and steps from the Papal Palace. The hotel is quirky enough to give it...

This hotel is right in the middle of Avignon, great location. The room is just OK, small, almost no closet, toilet paper on the back of the toilet(jeez). We had a room facing the square, and the noise was very noticeable until about 1AM. If you are a light sleeper, not a good thing. Quite expensive for what we got.

Stayed here as part of a great rail holiday. Our room was lovely with a large bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and the staff were very helpful. Location excellent, right in the centre of the main square but quiet at night. We would return to visit again.

We stayed for three nights to visit Arles and Nimes by train, and then walked all over Avignon old town over the next day. Great location for the historic parts , good local eateries, a walk to the scnf train down the Main Street. Staff were helpful , we didn't eat there , even breakfast , options in the street.

The view from my room on the " Horloge" at the municipality was special, particulary in the dark. This is a warm personal nice hotel with a good location in central Avignon. Breakfast is tasty and with a good varety and the atmosphere in the breakfast room gives you the start of the day you need to discover Avignon. Confortable...
