Perfect location behind the Popes Palace. Lovely dining, bar and garden areas. Special chef's table for 12 lucky guests in the kitchen not to be missed if offered during your stay. Generous breakfast - beautifully arranged. Perfect omelet available for modest $ a la carte. Since we were out exploring Avignon all day - into early evening - our room...

La Mirande is located in a historic building next to the Palais des Papes. The building has had several purposes and was renovated to produce a consistent theme throughout. It is period, not modern, and tastefully done. We found the accommodations to be very comfortable, quiet and pleasing. The view across to portions of the walls of the palace was...

So glad the owners of our VRBO rental told us about the chef's evening. We should have joined some of the other guests who cooked the meal with the chef before we arrived. It was a great meal, tremendous value, seeing the wine cellar and eating in the kitchen with the chef made it very memorable. It is only offered...

My wife and I stayed at La Mirande in Sept 2016. This is a wonderful Hotel!!! We were greeted and our room was upgraded to a suite. The hotel decoration is over the top, beautiful. The garden is peaceful and beautiful. The staff could not do enough for us. The breakfeast, which was included, it was expansive and top quality....

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights, the location of the hotel is right opposite popes palace we had a hire car and like others have mentioned very tricky to get too as the roads are extremely narrow. The hotel is decorated in very traditional 18th century style and like stepping back in time. If this is what you...

This place stuck in my memory because we did a cooking class here and ate what we made ( we great help) for lunch. We had a wonderful tour of this hotel and its garden terrace , also the wine cellar below ( and tastings) then into the kitchen to chop, peel and shell seafood for seafood bisque, fish and...

We only stayed here for one night, but this hotel is beautiful, offers exceptional service, is literally right across from the Popes Palace and is housed in a historical building. The rooms are very spacious and such attention to detail is paid; USB ports for charging phones etc, plate of fresh fruit upon arrival, cool water (still and sparkling) in...

One would think that I have a bias on commenting on that hotel. Maybe ! I'm not related in any way to this place even if my last name may make you believe that. I paid a visit to this place and I can assure you that my stay was incomparable. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but...

Husband and I spent 3 nights here in the beginning of May. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a rental car.It was a bit tricky getting to the hotel. The roads in town are very narrow and the signage for the hotel is not obvious so that coupled with the fact that the hotel is very pricey(if...

Avignon has lots of history. Parts of it are really charming. But, it's really overrun with tourists and there isn't much to do in the town. Much better to stay inside the La Mirande and enjoy superb food, excellent cooking classes and read in the beautiful garden. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. Great hotel pity about the...
