The hotel is sited on an old nunnery, complete with cloisters so it is quite interesting from a design / novelty standpoint. Decorated with home boy Christian Lacroix’s furnishing, this is not a hotel for one who prefers understated luxury. Because of the original design of the building, rooms can be awkward sized / shaped. Location wise this is just outside the beautiful pedestrian segment of Arles and a stone’s throw away from some of the key sights. No on-site parking. Differing levels of service, depending on who happens to be on duty (one concierge asked me to walk to the post office to post my postcards - not quite 5*). Nevertheless would recommend, as location remains top class.

Spent two nights at this lovely hotel. Room was very comfortable and the personnel were very friendly and helpful, especially Alicia, who escorted us to our room to make sure everything was all right. The tourist office is right next door and there are several cafes along the street. Wish we had time and thought about using the spa. It would have been a nice break in a very full itinerary.

The front desk staff was very welcoming from the start of the booking process to check out and the room was very confortable.'Thanks for upgrading us)
Hotel is clean and the spa is great. My wife had one of the best massage from Peggy. Pool area quite small(you get close to smokers..) and not enough loungers. Restaurant was good. Some waiters werent warm and welcoming. Being in Arles during a quiet time was fun.

This hotel has a very impressive entrance.
We had been welcomed to a terribly designed room( sure a matter of taste)
However for a more reasonable design we had to add 80 euros per night.
The parking costs 20 euros ( 5 star?)
The spa costs 20 euros ( 5 stars?) for sauna??
The fitness room is a shame.. one bike, on running treadmill, and so hot and zero view.
Breakfast addition of course.
To sum up for me max 3.5 stars

A lovely Hotel well situated but clearly not now, or ever, 5 star The Lacroix make over in 2014 is now faded and visable only in the common parts. The vast, wide corridors and high ceilings in public spaces are not mirrored by rabbit hutch rooms and suites.
Jules Cesar needed an architect NOT a designer like Lacroix. The entire hotel is dis-proportionately laid out. Possibly this is due to planning consents. But a serious architect with some ideas would create better spaces wthin this listed building.
The hotel like all in Western Europe is suffering from a lack of trained staff following the Covid shutdown. I understand this. And will comment no further upon the staffing short comings.
While closed by Law for 15 months this should have given the management plenty of time to remedy the faults in each room. Shower heads not working, bathrooms designed to flood. Ligh bulbs missing. Hot water erratic. The list goes on.
Breakfast was excellent. But again staffing issues meant that coffee arrived after you completed your meal and the "egg chef" turned up ony half way through the shift each day.
With a 50% reduction in price we would return. But not otherwise.

We found this hotel delightful. The staff was warm, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are small, yes, but this is France and it is a historic building — a former convent. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linens very nice and the decor quirky and very Christian Lacroix. Step outside and you are at the edge of the historic district. This is the fourth or fifth hotel we’ve stayed in in Arles over the past 10 years and no doubt now our favorite. A word about the staff. This summer France, like most of Europe and the U.S., is experiencing a staffing shortage. The staff in this hotel hustled like crazy to serve the guests and we appreciated it. Thanks to all.

A very enjoyable single nights stay. The rooms are quiet and comfortable with good facilities. The staff are really helpful with valet parking on offer. The style is quite quirky with some modern decor making a point in style. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice of some very high quality brekkie items.

Nice historical building in perfect location. We appreciated the room space/deco although old style bathroom could certainly be improved. Fair amount of onsite facilities (gym, open air pool, garden, etc.) and great idea to use the long corridors as art galleries ! We particularly enjoyed the outside pool with our kids. Breakfast is good with a very friendly and pro service. Front desk very helpful and nice experience at the restaurant. The little gifts at departure or nice chocolates left in the rooms every evening were a very kind attention. Overall, we'd certainly repeat the experience if in Arles. Congrats to the entire staff !

We had a very enjoyable stay with two children in a junior suite. This is a very nice room with a comfortable bathroom. Service was excellent, everybody was friendly and english speaking. They can charge your electric car if you park it with them (23eur a day; public parking next door 20eur a day I believe). Easily reached, great location to visit this very nice town (across the road). Good breakfast (children free of charge). Would not hesitate to go back.

Our arrival was promising , the greeting polite and heartwarming . But the service at diner in the hotel was done by people who never served a dinner before ( although it seemed ) .. we had to ask for everything, no aperitifs, dessert served before cheese, no cutlery …. What a shame ! And our washing up before breakfast , with no warm water available in our bathroom !
