We arrived at the Aquabella as our first stop in Europe, and were impressed right away by the helpful staff, clean and spacious room (with good air conditioning), quiet ambiance, and very good restaurant. Its location right at the edge of the old city made it a great headquarters for exploring the town, and at the end of our Provence...

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff at the front desk conversed well in English and were very helpful to us. Breakfast is presented well in the large dining room, but the scrambled eggs were so loose they were unappetizing. They also do not serve hard-boiled eggs, as you are expected to "bathe" your own raw egg. The...

Recently stayed in The Aquabella Hotel in Aix - ( whilst reading some of advertising signs seems unsure whether a 3 or 4 star ), staying with 10 friends, also part of Riviera travel group . It is situated just outside the centre of Aix, which is quite handy - of course if you have to use transport - the...

The hotel is very expensive and not worth it. There was no one to help us take the luggage to the rooms so we had to do it ourselves. The furniture in the rooms are old. Bathrooms very dull, not well lit and very little amenities. Room service was very late and the staff not friendly!

Having been under the misguided impression that the Aquabella was only a three-star establishment, I was not prepared for the level of style and elegance that awaited us there. This hotel is large, sprawling and appealingly grand, with spacious rooms and an elegant restaurant on the premises. The outdoor pool, framed by Roman ruins, is vast, posh and just the...

This was our first visit to Aix and we chose the Aquabella after a good deal of research - no reason to regret the choice and would certainly stay there again. The hotel's location and setting are the first plus points - although it is a modern hotel it is very close to the Old Town and reached by a...

This hotel is located next to the old city near a few busy plazas. It has great pool and grass areas, with spa, gym and other facilities. This is not a boutique hotel. Service good. Drinks are reasonable priced, food more expensive. Rooms modern and neat! The TV had a lot of channels but failed to work for BBC stations...

here for VBT bike trip....excellent room, quiet location, adjacent to old Aix, excellent restaurant also. Acess to spa....pool and gym free....some charges for spa services--did not use. We did have evening meal in room, which was excellent and reasonable....buffet breakfast is first class......much to choose. For a treat, try the "quiet waterfall" room, located in the spa area, for a...

Aquabella is truly in the middle of Aix and just perfect. We were there three nights. The rooms are large for Europe, fairly new and very well kept. The breakfast buffet is ample and dinner at L'Orangarie our first evening excellent. The pool was great in such hot weather and the walk to and from town is just a few...
