I always stay here. I like the fact that it is so homey. The location is the best, quiet but very near the Cours and lots of restaurants and shopping. It seems to cater to academicians and people who come for conferences. I have never seen children there, but that is not to say that they don't. The rooms certainly...

Lovely little hotel about 4 blocks from the central plaza area of Aix and 1 block from the lovely church. This area is perfect for walking and exploring, and we were there at Christmas market time, found some amazing things. Lots of restaurants in the area as well, very centrally located. The hotel itself is old-world in every sense, although...

Stayed here three nights and very enyjobale - excellent location and very quiet. Hotel seems unaltered since 1920s if not earlier - added to its charm - indeed has been used as a film set. Breakfast fine, staff helpful, and reasonable.

We arrived on a late flight and didnt get in til half 12 in the morning. I had informed the hotel of this in advance and they said that it was not a problem but didn't mention any additional charge, so I thought it was free. On arrival though, there was an additional "late check in charge" of 25 euro....

This small hotel is extremely well-situated in the old center of Aix, but just slightly away from all of the hubbub. It's a bit old-fashioned and grandmotherly, but the room was comfortable and reasonably priced. The manager was extremely helpful in offering places to see, where to walk around, where to get dinner, and he ordered a taxi for our...

it was just as we expected, simple but clean in a very good location in the center. after looking at nr 1, hardly any window,we could fortunately change to nr 4 upstairs, beds are good, room clean and ok, considering the price of 79 euros . breakfast is for 9 euros rather minimal.

This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in on my France trip and the worst. The receptionists were nice and friendly, but for the price, the rooms are very old fashioned and not very clean. After staying for one night, I tried canceling my second night I had booked for a couple days later for my way back up...

the very small group that I was with stayed here for 6 nights. the rooms are lovely, the beds are perfectly comfortable, the water pressure is xlnt and the location is EVERYTHING. Natalie takes a lot of pride in her presentation - fresh flowers, lovely original art work. No Complaints

It was a rare treat to stay in this classic historic hotel, with its fine architecture, romantic decor and 'old world' charm. Our room was extremely comfortable in all ways, quite beautiful, really. The Cardinal is perfectly located to explore Aix-en-Provence on foot.

The hotel is in a good area, almost across the street from the Granet Museum and very close to many restaurants, bistros, bakeries and shops. For the price, it is fine. The decor is tired looking and things could use spiffing up. Our bathroom was odd with a very low ceiling which made showering difficult. Fast Wifi. The air conditioner wasn't...
