What can I say. Lovely, enormous room. There seemed to be 2 blocks for the rooms. One block behind the restaurant and another just above the restaurant. The rooms were very elegant and beautiful and the slight shabbiness just added to their charm. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Aircon was great in the heatwave! Lovely breakfast in the... A bit odd to go through the restaurant to the hotel. Although a little faded, it was an excellent place to stay and good value for money. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly service. I was upgraded to a suite which had a view of the Cours. Bathroom had a jacuzzi and a hamman shower. Very clean room. Would recommend.

It might depend on whether you are a glass half full or glass half empty kind of person, but the fact that this hotel was a bit timeworn was, for us, a part of its charm. And for fans of a certain classic 1980s British comedy, be sure to check the wardrobe for airmen. Its actually a really charming place,... More

Decided to come back to this hotel given its outstanding location in Aix. However, after these years, found the hotel a bit run down and in need of some upgrade to common áreas and room. Also, found room noisy, as we faced the street and market preparations started pretty early in the morning. Street was closed to traffic when we... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location, so close to the old town. It is a traditional French hotel with a bustling restaurant in front. the reception is straight through the restaurant but not easy to see from the street. There is no parking at the hotel. We had to use the valet parking because there is no... More

I confess I was slightly apprehensive because of few negative reviews this hotel has got. Well, in my experience the criticism is not deserved. Room and bathroom were spotless, personnel was friendly and attentive to customer's needs. Yes, it does not have an elevator but it says so clearly in description. And it's in an old building but if you... More

This was really worth 7/10 rather than 6/10 but I didn't feel I could go as far as 8. Several issues - firstly I couldn't get any response at all out of the hotel when trying to book - in the end I used booking.com which I hate doing, as I like to check out a few things directly with... More

We stayed at double bedroom is aixen province we were really surprised by the charming room with big bathtubs and separate shower. The parking valet service was good. Staff was very helpful despite most say about the French can be quite snobbish. These guys were very nice. The area had good restaurants but avoid Sundays and Mondays as most good... More

Comfortable, excellent service (including valet parking) and restaurant, in a beautiful location. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated, and those on the Cours Mirabeau are not noisy at all. The restaurant has a good choice on the menu.

Very well located, charming room, with friendly staff. Just drive up to the front door and they will garage the car for you. No lift, but back court adds to the charm. Large room with classic furniture and bathtube. Nice surprise for a short stay at lovely Aix en Provence.
