To be honest we only stayed here as no other hotel could fit all our group. We were so delighted the other hotels were full! We arrived late due to a train strike and the staff were so helpful. After a great nights sleep in a surprisingly pleasant room for the price we took the 15 minute walk to the...

Very pleasant small modern hotel, with private parking. 15 minute walk to town centre along sea front. Owner and staff very helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast. (Doors locked at night but no problem entering with key.) Excellent fish restaurant just along the Allee du Mail. Ideal for a short stay.

The staff, especially Jennie, were very helpful, but there were a few things that put us off a bit. The hotel is in a nice residential neighbourhood, but the walk into the old town (25 minutes at a decent pace) was longer than we were expecting. To be fair, it is a pleasant walk but still longer than we were...

Came across this Hotel by chance, and it had everything we needed. Clean rooms, safe parking which costs an extra 3 euros behind the gate, or back of Hotel, same money but not as safe. Staff were so helpful, could not do enough for us. Plenty of space to put your clothes, great shower pressure. Buffet breakfast which you can...

Nice place, very clean, great location. Parking available. New bathroom. Kind people. We would come back for sure. IT was a last minute stay , because someone checked out early. Recommand it to everyone. Not bad for a two star rated hotel. I have seen 3 stars who cant beat this.

Hotel le Savary is a jewel. It may say it is a 2 star hotel, but in reality it is a super bright star among hotels. It is family-owned and managed. The owners and staff are fabulous, helpful, kind, generous, efficient. The hotel is impeccably clean and comfortable, and offers the essentials, even bicycles to rent right at the hotel...

Stayed there recently and everyone was incredibly helpful so top marks for that. BUT we had a family room and to be honest there was barely room to swing a cat in there. It may well be that all the hotels at this budget in La Rochelle are like that (in which case I'm being unfair) but if you are...

Stayed for 5 nights at the end of April beginning of May. The staff were very friendly and welcoming giving us lots of recommendations on where to eat and places to visit. We rented bikes from the hotel and cycled over to Ile de Re (well worth the effort on a sunny day). The hotel is an easy and pleasant...

Four of us stayed for three nights in April 2012 and enjoyed excellent service at this comfortable hotel. It is in a nice quiet area and is well situated for exploring La Rochelle with both the town and old port only 10 minutes walk away. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. We had brought...
