A lovely b&b in the middle of the town. Elegant decor throughout, interesting and individual. A spacious townhouse, we stayed overlooking the garden, it was very quiet through the night for a good rest. Warm welcome and a lovely breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend, and at a very reasonable price.

Ok, ok, we love France and this kind of place to stay is one of the reasons. It's so much better than a hotel. The rooms were very nice with special touches of the owner and abundant creativity. The location was very close to the central business and restaurants which we walked to. The distilleries were very close all within walking distance. The hosts were there for breakfast and couldn't have been nicer. Another place we loved and I think you will too.

Ideal, central location and quirky yet comfortable accommodation make this B&B a great place to stay. It's located right in the heart of what's a very charming and interesting place to visit. Breakfast was lovely with a continental-type spread with croissants, tartines, meat, cheese, yoghurt etc. I recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights early September.it is a beautiful old French house and very centrally located , thanks to jph 1066 re red door!.The room was really lovely. The pool outside is very small and certainly not for a good swim. We were very disappointed with the breakfast. It is very nicely presented but the cheeses were very poor quality. We had to ask for yogurt and were given natural.. .no choice .The next morning we saw a variety of yogurts offered to people who had good French. We paid less for a lot better at Hotel L'Europe in Bergerac.

Gorgeous French townhouse in the middle of Cognac - we didn't reserve parking but did manage to park for free on a nearby side street. The B&B is within walking distance to everything which is what we wanted, however it did mean we were woken by the bin lorry clearing the empties followed by the church bells! The bedrooms were charming and spacious, the bed really comfortable and the breakfast superb. Although one of the reasons we booked this B&B was because it had a small pool, there was a problem with it while we were there so were not able to use it. However we sat out in the garden and chatted with fellow guests which was lovely.

Behind the red front door is a little bit of heaven. It's quirky and yet really clean and comfortable . There was a problem with the pool but it was still very enjoyable stay. Host is really lovely and breakfast was perfect. Thank you so much from Ireland.

I loved this place, the house is both stylish and comfortable. On arrival you are greeted by a waggy tailed scotty dog, shown to a stunning room with roof top views over cognac and the garden. Shame the weather wasn't that warm as the small pool looked very inviting. Lovely breakfast. Friendly host. Definitely a place I would return to.

Stayed here to go to the Blues Passion this year. A lovely welcome, a lovely room and a perfect location for the festival. Only five rooms and all different in how they are furnished. The pool was gorgeous to cool off after the hot days. The lady of the house was very welcoming and the dog and holidaying cat loved being made a fuss of. Free parking 3 minutes walk away. The breakfast was very French with lovely fresh bread and croissants every day. Guess where we will be staying the next time we go to the Blues Passion?!

We had a very enjoyable two night stay at this bed and breakfast. Centrally located in Cognac but no real street noise. One minor issue is that the b&b is on a narrow one way street where parking is difficult to find. However the entire interior is a treasure trove of all sorts of items that spread around in what ends up being a tasteful décor. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The same is true of the spacious bathroom again the decor is to be admired. Breakfast is continental...bread, croissant, cheese, fresh fruit, jams and spreads...just what you would like and expect. All in all an enjoyable stay.

The selfish part of me is reluctant to share our experience here, because the more people that know about Maison Gaudin, the more likely it will be fully booked for when we want to come again.
This is an oasis of calm, yet centrally situated.
We LOVE this place.
Bernadette who runs it, is fantastic. She is very kind and helpful.
She moved her car and gave us her parking space!
We cannot fault this place.
The nicest place I have booked into, in the last 20 years.
The pool and outside area is quiet and private.
Our breakfast was lovely and a great start to the day.
I would like to see the other rooms out of interest, but ours was really very nice and romantic. The shower was on the tight side, but there again I am overweight.
Out of 10 I would score this 10, I would love to see the ability to buy a few drinks here. But I reckon Bernadette and family have enough to do, keeping this so wonderful.
We arrived on the 1st of September 2014 and stayed 2 nights.
Even if you are not a dog lover, you will love Aston, who is not overbearing, just lovable.
Our room was on the 2nd floor onto the road, but the road is not busy and it is nice to hear the occasional chatter of folk passing by and even bird song and the church bell, which we did not mind, if anything it enhanced the stay
We cannot recommend it enough.
