This is a uniquely positioned hotel in a stunning location. It is quaint but it is not for the feint hearted! We loved it, the host is charming, the breakfast delicious but the rooms, even the newly renovated ones (we too were in 12) are quite challenging! The entrance hall as others have commented is quite tatty, however the welcome... More

Very friendly staff, a big discount for Via Francigena pilgrims. The main hall looks rather dusty and torn, and needs some refurbishment, but don't be put off, the rooms on the second floor are perfectly clean and also pretty and tastefully furnished, with the walls showing the history of the building.

We stayed here for one night and had room 12 in the attic area. This is a hotel in a very old building, which is gradually being renovated, and this room has been tastefully refurbished with a sitting area with settee, TV etc, plus a modern bathroom. Be careful of the lovely old beams if you are tall and also... More

This hotel is currently being refurbished and the reception area is the last area to be completed, so it is a bit of a shock when you walk in. However, as soon as you begin to climb the stairs, it's oak flooring, stone, brick and beams galore. The welcome is warm and the rooms are absolutely fantastic. We were up... More

We have just spent one night in this charming, small hotel in the centre of old Laon. We had room 12 in the attic, which was extremely pleasant and well appointed. The owner was very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was more than adequate. It was a very convenient stopover on the way south and we would not hesitate to... More

We stayed one night in this quirky hotel in the middle of the historic city of Laon ,which is a bit like Havana. The rooms at the top have been modernised sympathetically retaining the interesting features like beam work and open stonework and twirling staircase. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was fresh clean and modern. All... More

Good central location with parking close-by (I think charges applied in the square during the day but we were allowed to park free in a small courtyard next to the hotel). The guy on reception was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and gave good recommendations of where to eat for supper. The carpets downstairs gave a slightly shabby appearance, but... More

This hotel is right in the centre of Laon and there is free overnight parking in the square around the corner. The manager is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable but basic. The hotel could do with some money spending on it as it feels down at heel. Holes in the stair carpet don't look good. However, it... More

I really loved this hotel but felt it was tired and needed some updating as the first thing we were almost greeted with was a torn stair carpet , the bedroom itself was adequate but nothing to write home about, the bathroom was a little grubby but OK ..Breakfast was the French Standard, croissants, juice and jams ect I would... Hotel in the centre of town. Near Notre Dame Cathedral and within close proximity of lots of restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean but a little tired but doesnt affect the overall ambience of this comfortable well positioned hotel.
