From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but everything changes as soon as you enter. On the right you can see the nicely decorated bar and restaurant. At reception we meet a charming, smiling young woman. The room is rather classic, hotel chain style but large enough, clean and with everything you need. Bathroom with large shower. The best part of the stay is the dinner! It all starts with meeting a very friendly waiter who knows the menu perfectly, who knows how to explain the composition of the dishes and who gives very good advice. The cuisine is fabulous, all the products are quality and perfectly cooked, it is worthy of a great chef. The day before we were in a 4-star establishment where the cuisine was much less tasty. In short, come without hesitation to the Hôtel du Parc and above all you have to eat there!

Recommended! August 2023, 4 days half-board. The welcome is always as remarkable and the staff is kind and puts you at ease. In the restaurant everything is homemade, the presentation is very careful and the quality is there. It’s worthy of a gourmet restaurant, congratulations! The restaurant is closed on Sunday evening, what a shame! The superior room is clean, spacious, quiet and has very good bedding. Small downside: After a day of sightseeing, we found the window of our room wide open; a real invitation for insects and for people with bad intentions, the room being located on the ground floor. (This is why I put the room very good and not excellent) We stayed there for several years before covid 19; at the time the terrace was at the front of the building, not far from the road; it is now located at the rear of the building by the swimming pool. A real plus! Recommended for everyone.

I had the opportunity to discover the park's restaurant as part of a professional dinner. The entire team appreciated the welcome given to us. The aperitif served at the foot of the swimming pool was conducive to discussion. The meal served to us was tastefully prepared. The dishes were very good and appreciated by everyone.

Click twice to read everything. Easy access, opposite the Blue Elephant carwash, near Avenue des fusillés. Private parking, closed at night Pleasant welcome Room with air conditioning but without instructions for use of the control panel Relatively small bedroom and bathroom, with large screen TV, not tested. Electronic key in credit card format. A closet without doors with shelves Good lighting. No fm/dab+ radio. Kettle with tea bags and coffee, with cups. No safe to store your precious belongings (papers, watch, camera, smartphone, jewelry...). No bathrobes to get to the pool, or slippers (on sale at reception). No dry cleaning. Garbage in the bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Only one large bath towel. Beautiful swimming pool about 10x5 of 115 then 145cm deep; good access security, with barrier all around, and mandatory shower before swimming, but little used although with hot water. Swimming pool at 29C in liner with non-slip bottoms; stone margin and terrace in ipe. Staircase to access the water. The soundproofing of the room is very insufficient (noise of neighbors, heels, vacuum cleaner). We hear little road traffic, as well as carwash. All-you-can-eat buffet breakfast, with efficient hot drinks machine, a wide selection of pastries, cheeses, hams, breads, artisan jams, hard-boiled eggs, scrambled with sausage and bacon. Wide choice of jams. Cereals, gingerbread, pudding, pancakes, madeleines. Many homemade products. Restaurant not tested, new cuisine style, a little expensive. We had dinner in town, 10 minutes from the Pension. Probable hygiene problem: the service is provided without cap and gloves, hence stomach ache after breakfast

Saumur definitely doesn't bring me luck in the hotel business. After a very bad experience at the Campanile in Saumur in May, it was the Hôtel du Parc this time which was a disappointment during my visit on August 19. While when booking my room on July 22, I was asked if I wanted a room on the park side or on the parking side, and I opted for a view on the park side, what a disappointment when booking the room 111 seeing in front of the window, neither park, nor parking, but a gable of a wall and the roof of the restaurant within reach. A second disappointment the next morning, while I was in the shower, no more gel/shampoo in the dispenser which had not been changed even though there was hardly any left in it, pfff... I also noticed that the person who preceded me in the shower had abundant hair, which the shower was able to remind me of, but obviously not the person in charge of cleaning, pfff... Obviously, my dissatisfaction was brought to the attention of the hotel reception when I left on Sunday August 20.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are good and clean but a little small for the high price. On the other hand, I highly recommend the gastronomic quality restaurant for a very reasonable price. The chef produces remarkable cuisine.

As a group of three we were touring Belgium/France on our motorcycles. After a 12 hour, gruelling day on the motorcycles we arrived at this Hotel a little later than planned; 9.00pm rather than the 7:30pm.After getting access to our rooms we went straight to the Hotel restaurant for our dinner. At 9:10 pm were were curtly told by the restaurant manager that dinner service ended at 9:00pm and flatly refused to serve us. After some negotiations we were allowed to order our dinner. There was no need to be so unpleasant. We had booked a twin bedded room and a single. The twin bedded room was very small for two people compared to the huge room occupied by one person. Very strange! The buffet breakfast was comprehensive and there was something for everyone. As it was only a stay for a single night we did not make a fuss to the management but compared to some of the other Hotels we had used in France this place was pretty mediocre and very unfriendly.

Passing through the park's hotel and restaurant like every year, we appreciate the quality of the hotel and that of the catering worthy of a great starred chef. We confirm the glowing comments about the staff with a special mention for Aurélie from the bar restaurant. Never disappointed, it is an excellent address. To recommend without hesitation.

We visited for 3 nights and found the hotel to be outstanding. The whole team are very professional and will go over & above to help with your stay.
The entire hotel team were having a team building afternoon and even asked my family if we wanted to join them which was amazing gesture. The hotel owner even stored some boxes of wine for me out of the sun whilst we stayed at the hotel.

This is a business hotel on the edge of town. That said the reception were very efficient and welcoming. The room was fairly standard but with everything that you needed. The air-con was very efficient. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming as were the restaurant staff. We ate in the hotel and the food. Even on the set menu was very good and well prepared and presented. Wines were modestly priced if you choose wines from the Loire area. Breakfast was a buffet but copious and delicious. I would use this hotel again were I to visit Saumur in the future.
