We booked at this establishment via a smartbox. We were made very welcome upon our arrival. As we had read the previous reviews, no surprise, we were allocated the famous room 38. Indeed the room is a little small but relatively well decorated and clean. We benefited from the wellness area which is very well appointed and we had a pleasant time. The swimming pool was closed at this time of year. Dinner was also very good despite a somewhat limited choice but very good. Congratulations to the two young waiters who provide very good service. The downside was the night spent in this famous room which is very noisy due to the following points: spring-loaded corridor door right next to the room which makes noise each time it closes, noises coming from the restaurant, and, for our night, a strong wind which caused a permanent squeaking at the level of a ventilation. Bad luck we forgot the earplugs. I can easily understand that when the establishment is full, the worst room is allocated to the boxes where the profits are lower than by booking directly with the establishment. It’s a shame to do it systematically when the hotel doesn’t seem full. Fortunately, we finished with a very generous and well-stocked breakfast, always accompanied by smiling and welcoming staff.

On the phone, the reception recommended a studio, more practical for the dog. These are small pavilions independent of the hotel building, with equipped kitchenettes. At the same price as the standard double room, by direct call, at €95. , (+9 for the dog) with small terrace and parking 50m away. Holiday vouchers accepted. Good solution.

We loved our few days at this hotel. Rooms were clean, well-equipped and with comfy beds. The hotel is pretty small, so it felt friendly and not crowded. The breakfast is outstanding and we loved just sitting on the patio with our pastries and coffee in the warm morning sun. Pool is nice too. The restaurant is your typical quality multi-course restaurant, with excellent food. We'll be back for sure.

Very nice stay at this Pension! Extra welcome from the receptionist and even during the stay! We were in a studio with kitchenette and air conditioning, the top in summer when it is hot! Some rooms are in the Pension (which actually looks like a big house) and the rest of the accommodation is spread out in nearby buildings. We have the Impression of being in a holiday village! Super PDJ by the pool;-) Nice swimming pool and not too crowded. Extra dinner in the restaurant with splendid views of Saumur. In short we had a very pleasant stay:-) And the region does not lack curiosities, yen has for all tastes!

Booked via a box, with supplement for a studio (the hotel being full according to the receptionist leaving a studio as the only possibility) Charming welcome by the receptionist and all the staff. Very pleasantly surprised by a very pretty location, quiet and yet very close to the beautiful town of Saumur. Beautiful heated swimming pool (maybe not at 28 degrees anyway) in front of a pretty terrace with a breathtaking view. Studio with redone decoration but very dated in its equipment: very dirty air conditioning, smell of sewage in the studio, dried-up dishwasher liquid blocking the drain (even though it is required to wash the dishes), broken shutter allowing the passage of daybreak, another roller shutter with broken crank... a major need for maintenance unfortunately which disappointed us.

I had booked 2 hours of spa for a friend and myself (it was her birthday present..) already on arrival, mediocre welcome (shy smile, few instructions and explanations on the use of the sauna, hammam even if we are used to doing them..) then total disappointment to see that the shower is not closed, no locked lockers either so our things are within everyone's reach .. not to mention the Nordic bath which was far from clean and the jets no longer work.. In short.. I came for a romantic weekend in 2016 and I had good memories of it.. my bill didn't is necessarily not at all the same because here I am just judging the spa aspect... in addition I paid 35 euros per person while I see that it is noted 29 euros per person from October 1st... probably because that I booked several months ago.. Disappointed Disappointed Disappointed...

We stayed for one night on our way to the coast. We were shown to room 28: a triple room. Unfortunately the light switch for the stairs only worked from the bottom, so it was difficult going down in the evening. The room was clean and plenty of towels, but very strong air freshener had been used so we had to open the window. The windows are very old and need attention. The toilet was very low and did not have a strong flush. The single room lacked any natural light and was obviously built as a bathroom originally. We ate in the dining room which had a wooden decking floor so felt like we should be outside. The food was okay. I got lost trying to find reception as there was a curtain over the corridor and it didn’t look like a main exit. We were delighted by a superb breakfast the next day which was plentiful, fresh and delicious. Lots of parking at the hotel too.

A perfect stay, which started with an impeccable welcome from the receptionist, who gave us all the necessary information, and accompanied us to our room; we had a drink in the bar before (then after) dinner, the waiter was also very friendly. The next day, breakfast then relaxation at the spa (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, also impeccable). Unfortunately the outdoor sauna was out of service (that will be another good reason for us to come back!). The bedroom, bathroom and toilets were also perfect. If we had to quibble, we could point out the fact that there are no shutters on the bedroom window (so waking up a little early with daylight) but once again it's really to look for the little beast ! Thanks to all the staff, receptionist, waiters and cleaners, and once again: we will be back :)

Very average hotel, clean to see again, big crumbs in the corners and dead spiders! The bathroom is tiny with a shower that is less than 70 X 70, shower head completely scaled, old decor , paint to be redone, footboard very faded... Wellness area quite good but an hour is really too short to really enjoy the steam room , sauna and bath in the rules (i.e. several successive passages interspersed with cold shower and rest). Not a 3-star
