I stayed one night on road trip from UK to Spain. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, including moving his car so I could park right outside. I had the loft room which was very generous in size and well furnished. The local square for bars and restaurants is handily less than a minute away, but as the hotel is tucked away there was no noise disturbance (and the bells of the adjacent church did not chime overnight). The spectacular castle/chateau overlooking the town is a short walk away. The hotel was clearly popular with US guests. Finally, the breakfast was definitely worth the cost... service to the table plus self-serve options. I know where I will stay if I come back this way again!

We really liked the hotel: for 1 or 2 nights visiting Saumur it is perfect. 1/ well located in the city center, ideal for visiting the city, the castle (5 minutes on foot and very nice guided tour) and having dinner right next door (suggestion for an aperitif: visit to the Caves de Grenelle with tasting, 15 minutes away walk) Possibility of parking in front or behind the hotel (parking €5 behind). 2/ super quiet: pedestrian street in front of the hotel so no car noise and very little traffic in the street behind. And the corridors are very cozy, the clientele is naturally calm, it's pleasant for sleeping well. Just bring earplugs if the church bells (from 6 a.m.) bother you, but we didn't hear them much. 3/ comfortable room, spacious and very well decorated, with good equipment, pleasant bedding. 4/ very friendly team: we felt very welcome, on arrival and departure or during breakfast. 5/ our favorite: a top breakfast, with choice, lots of products, fresh and good and well presented.
Ideas for improvement for the hotel: A/ do not turn on the air conditioning in the room when it is empty: explain to guests that the air conditioning is turned off on purpose (saving energy and saving the planet) and that the room will cool down in less than 10 minutes if necessary (because we We arrived in the room with the air conditioning running, it's a shame) B/ replace individual Rituals shower products with large, more ecological pots, as is increasingly being done in all hotels, in order to limit packaging. C/ Suggest a menu for breakfast and we quote what we want. Because we had all the products on the table, it's very appetizing, but we didn't eat everything, so it's a shame to waste.
In any case, continue to offer a great welcome, it's perfect!

Really qwerky boutique hotel. The decoration is fascinating from the stunning wallpaper to a trickling water wall feature in the breakfast room. The room was compact but lovely, with an enormous stone fireplace in the centre. The breakfast was very nice, but there is no real kitchen, so pastries, yogurts, fruits, and crepes come thick and fast to your table. The location is 1 min from the chateau and 2 mins from the centre where there are many good restaurants. There are only a few parking spots so prebook this and it is only 6 euros

We are a young couple and spent an unforgettable weekend in Saumur! The hotel is a real gem right in the city center. It is ideal for visiting the old town, the streets are peaceful, and the room was a real cocoon decorated with taste. Breakfast, with its fresh products, was a treat.
The staff is very welcoming and the wise advice of Régis, the owner, led us to a delicious bistronomic restaurant, satisfying our taste buds, as well as an escape game in the Caves de Grenelle.
In short, a big thank you to the Saint-Pierre hotel for its welcome – an experience to savor again!

Highly recommended! This family-run hotel has it all – charm, location, service, and comfort. It is located half a block from the historic town square with great shops, cafes, and a fresh market on weekends. The rooms are period yet modern with French windows, rich fabrics, antiques, and lots of outlets. Breakfast was worth every centime with fresh croissants and crepes, local cheeses, eggs boiled to order, fresh berries, and more. We would return in a heartbeat!

Unpleasant telephone and physical reception from the director's mother, I called for price clarification, she replied: there is no cancellation even though that was not the purpose of the call; upon arrival she places the room key on the counter without comment, I ask for the number, she replies: it's written on it!...what a welcome! The director and his father are more pleasant. Room on the street therefore noisy; mattress too soft, bad night. At breakfast, there were large tables but we were told to sit at the small table in the back?? Different price indications on the site, the room and the reception.. I won't go back there. However, the hotel is well located.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Saumur, which couldn’t be closer to the town centre. Full of character and tastefully decorated. Our ‘Elegance’ room was individually styled with a really comfortable bed & nice bathroom. The breakfast was incredible & served in a super chic/stylish room - make sure you don’t miss it … you won’t regret it! Regis the owner is very welcoming & extremely helpful, you would do yourself a disservice if you were in Saumur and didn’t stay at the Hotel Saint Pierre.

I had an exceptional stay at the Hôtel Saint-Pierre in Saumur! The location was perfect, close to many attractions, in the heart of the city center. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always willing to help and provide local recommendations, including restaurant recommendations. The rooms were elegantly decorated, immaculately clean and had a unique charm. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh, tasty and local options. My experience at the Hôtel Saint-Pierre largely contributed to making my trip to Saumur unforgettable. I highly recommend this establishment to all travelers looking for a memorable stay.

WOW! Hi and THANK YOU to Regis! He is a welcoming owner and host with great local knowledge and culinary suggestions. His tastes throughout his hotel were exquisite. The hotel was conveniently located and easy to find. It was beautifully decorated and furnished. I loved the classic French feel and the natural and equestrian touches. The room was spacious, electrical was conveniently located and the towels fluffy. The outside seating area with the drift wood canopy was a lovely place to hang-out with a bottle of wine; a perfect place to just relax and enjoy. The bar was well-stocked with an amazing selection of whiskeys. Breakfast was extraordinary. Choices were very varied and included regional products, many of which were organic. The freshly squeezed orange juice was yummy, as were the freshly made crepes and the CROISSANTS!!!!. Choose this hotel, you will not be disappointed

We spent one night in this charming hotel located in the heart of the town of Saumur. The welcome was very pleasant. The hotel is located in the historic heart of Saumur, a stone's throw from the castle, restaurants and shopping streets. The breakfast was gargantuan: pancakes, cranberry bread, orange juice, espresso, various jams, compotes, yogurts, croissants, cooked apple, etc. Thanks again.
