This estate is located in a beautiful green setting. Nearby leisure activities such as golf, horse riding, various visits...
Didn't like · When we arrived, 5cm of water in front of the front door and this for several days, shovel, broom and other tools at the entrance to our studio. Studio cleaning leaves something to be desired.. paint redone improperly... terrace not maintained. At the entrance to this area we find all the trash containers and other laundry lockers etc. not bad for welcoming tourists. Too bad no care for this area which deserves much better.

The photos were quite attractive but we were quite disappointed when we arrived. The accommodations are very hot (fortunately it wasn't a heatwave), the cleaning was sloppy (dirty window, vacuum cleaner that I had to empty before using it). A big lack of exterior maintenance, terrace with lots of bad, unmowed lawn. On the activity side there are 2 or 3 ping-pong tables and a swimming pool which is a little small compared to the number of accommodations. The site is only pedestrian, it is not too bothersome unless it rains because there are small gravel and dirt paths therefore really very dirty for the car and the accommodation. Plan to chase the luggage carts when arriving and leaving. At more than 800 euros per week, I find it expensive for what it is. The positive points are that the staff was friendly and a reception room with what you need to discover the region.

Quiet pedestrian residence with its advantages:
- children can move freely by bike because no cars (parking at the entrance and no one enters except PMR)
-no noise
but disadvantages:
- essential car because far from all (nothing can be done on foot)
- if your accommodation is at the end of the residence , it will take 5 minutes to walk to the parking (not easy to load and unload luggage especially with children)
We liked it:
- the heated indoor pool and rather deep ( top! )
- the small children's playground that can do service
- the sale of bottles and postcards at the reception
In terms of positives, the main cellars of Saumur are immediately accessible by car.
It remains a tourist residence: you have to clean before leaving , you have to make the beds on arrival , and even according to the formula rent them!
For our stay , the bedding was not great: 2 single beds side by side
Anyway, we know this residence exists, we'll come back to it if need be but it won't be our number one choice.

Very good value for money. We had a duplex for 4. The village is car-free (as indicated on the website) in fact contrary to other opinions we did not have any unpleasant surprises. You must clean up when leaving as instructed. The beds in the living room are trundle beds as shown. Everything is consistent. What else do you want ? It's very correct

The place is not too bad, location is quiet in the middle of nowhere, in the wood. Staff are kind and useful. But extra has to be paid for internet, cleaning, etc. And the parking is not close enough to the room, even the trolley provided is not the best decision.

Not what we expected at all unfortunately. The location itself is pretty but the resort overall is very lacking. Firstly, you can’t drive down to your accommodation, so you have to park in the top car park then use trolleys ( in 35 degree heat in our case) to take your luggage to your room. The bed were basically sleeping on the sofa. No bar or restaurant ( not even a snack bar) no ambience or atmosphere, very dull and lifeless. Our “view” was scorched grass and a ping pong table. We had to leave after two nights due to a relative being taken ill back in the UK. We asked if it was possible to have a credit note, as we lost a week of our stay but this was refused. In all honesty we were glad to leave, we have never been to a more dull and lifeless place in our lives. We won’t be using Belvilla again that’s for certain!

Ideal location for exploring Saumur and surrounding area. Comfortable apartments. Parking next to the park, so lots of walking (trolleys for transporting luggage available). Would stay here again. Try getting an apartment facing the forest, nice and peaceful (we had no. 63).

My wife and I stayed in this location for a week in September 2013. I am disabled and requested an apartment with accessible facilities - these were provided and we had a wet-room that more-than-provided for my needs. The accommodation (for 5 - a double bedroom plus a double and further single bed settees in the living area) was more than adequate for the two of us and well-worth paying the (small) additional fee than taking a smaller apartment; it would be adequate for a family. The kitchenette facility was well-equipped with a 4-burner hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
The indoor swimming pool was clean and warm (28 degrees C). The staff members proved to be most delightful, friendly and helpful. Being disabled, I was allowed to park my car by our accommodation - for the more able-bodied it could mean a 200m walk from the car park (although 'barrows' are provided). The free Wi-Fi in the reception area was relatively 'slow'. There is no room service, though, and you have to make up your beds upon arrival and clean the accommodation when leaving (unless you wish to pay a 50 Euros charge). However, none of these 'chores' are arduous!
This would be a good, safe place for young families to use.

A good place for relaxation, really quite. However, it was not clean (full of dust, dirty dishes, traces of the ones staying there before us were all over) and the personal had no reaction at our feedback. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend the location if you want to enjoy your holiday.
