Very nice hotel, not on the cheap side but worth the money. The rooms are very need,if you choose a room with ocean view you will not regret. Bar and restaurant are really good. The only minus is the parking situation, there are only a few parking spots available at the hotel and you have to pay for. If you do not get an parking spot at the hotel you have to park wherever you find a spot on the roads nearby!

We found that this hotel has everything to make a stay at La Baule a delight. It's literally across the street from the wonderful beach with fabulous sea views in a number of rooms like the one we had. It's beautifully designed and perfectly kept up. The entire staff is efficient and friendly. The dining room offers excellent meals, including a generous hot and cold buffet with international and local specialties. We had two oustanding dinners. The chef seems to be specialist in sauces as we found in both veal dishes we enjoyed. The serving staff we had in the morning and evening could not have been more efficient and attentive to our enjoyment. We also find there is real value for money here as the hotel was a big reason why our stay was so memorable.

My wife and I were visiting family and the location was very convenient for us. We definitely enjoyed the seaside room on the top floor with all room amenities necessary. Clean and well maintained room that was above our expectations for the price. Included was a great breakfast buffet that could please everyone with a wide selection and replenished right away
The staff in every department was very friendly, attentive and professional. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend this hotel in the future. Félicitations pour avoir rendu notre séjour spécial et reussi

1. The twin bedded rooms are 2ft 6 ins beds (75 cms) wide. Too small. 3ft or 90 cm should be the minimum. Hilton single beds are 120 cm (small double size). Previouslybstayed in suites whete beds are 90 cm.

2. Breakfast offerings have been reduced. No Pain aux Raisins for example or maybe staff did not refresh the buffet.

3. We were asked twice by 2 different staff members for our room number, but neither staff member cleared the dirty dishes from the vacant table by us. One of the staff drifted aimlessly around the room. She needs training.

4. Man in suit wished us a ‘Bonjour’ halfway through our breakfast & yet he did not notice the adjacent table had not been cleared. Presumed he was the Manager?

5. Reception on arrival good & on checkout.

5. Received an email before arrival to advise no parking would be available! Rather unwelcoming. After arrival we realised a small conference was staying. Doubtless they were offered parking. Never had this problem before.

Dear guests, First of all, thank you for your comment, allowing us to improve. Our twin beds are indeed not very large (80cm), except on our rooms called Junior Suite (90cm). It is unfortunately our weak point. Our team was recently renewed, we are fully aware that we have to work faster on the training. Up to this day, we focus on welcoming our client which is primordial and I am very happy to note that you saw it, with the reception and the breakfast team. Once again, thank you for your constructive comments. We would be happy to welcome you again at the Mercure La Baule Majestic. Benoit Audouin, General Manager

What can I say, a stay that went very well as usual, the super pleasant staff, a special mention to Quentin who upon our arrival and at our request was able to find us the ideal room, well done to him and all the very friendly staff. Until the maids. The hotel is very well located, the parking is very practical, the breakfast is plentiful and varied, (breakfast in your room always at the requested time) The sea view is magnificent, just a stone's throw from the beach and restaurants, a nice walk to to do in the region in short we will come back for sure!!!
Small clarification very important for us the rooms are very well soundproofed

We organized our wedding at the Mercure Le Majestic hotel and it was a perfect weekend!

The seafront, the art-deco setting of this 1930 hotel, the rooms with exceptional bedding and above all the welcome and service from the entire team made our wedding unique.

The lunch and dinner buffet delighted our guests. A big thank you to the chef at Ruban Bleu (the hotel's restaurant), who also prepare a delicious and flavorful vegetarian menu for the groom. We'll be back for a gourmet break in the near future.

First of all, we'd like to thank Mr. Benoît Audouin (Director of the hotel) for his warm welcome at his establishment and Raoul (Manager) for his enthusiasm and for accompanying us during this beautiful sunny day. Thanks also to Elise Galland (Sales Representative) who answered all our questions and was so patient.

And a big THANK YOU to the whole team who made this day a unique experience: Katia who answered all our requests throughout the weekend; Maëlle for her kindness and availability and Dacgiahuy (alias Zawi) for his professionalism and passion for the products.

I'm sure we're forgetting the many people who contributed to this wonderful day.

I've rarely seen a team in a 4-star hotel so available, warm and professional. It made all the difference in making this day unique. Thanks again to all

If there was a hotel to recommend for your wedding it would be the Mercure Le Majestic.

Elise

At e280 a night this place isn't cheap but except for its location it is. Very. Breakfast was chaotic as the maitre d appeared surprised when people turned up and despite their being plenty of tables we ended up queueing. She was somewhat rude. Very parsimonious with bread etc. Had a better breakfast in a 2 star a day earlier. Same slightly panicky approach at dinner although Kevin and Lea the servers were excellent. Shower was completely inaccessible for me. Although I am a big guy
I have never before been unable to get in a shower. Caused by the door being fitted the wrong way. Towels too tiny and too few. What four star hotel gives you no shower cap and no shower products. No milk for the coffee and only enough coffee for one cup each.A disappointing end to our hols. Find somewhere else.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment, even if it must be admitted that it is not to our advantage. We are sorry that the service and delivery did not meet your expectations, and we ask you to accept our sincere apologies. Since I prefer human contact, I regret not having exchanged with you during your stay. We understand your disappointment about the size of the rooms. The configuration of our 1930 hotel does not make it the strong point of our establishment. Regarding your breakfast, we had some organizational concerns that morning, and we apologize. Looking forward to welcoming you again and showing you better service, Sincerely,

Hotel very well located facing the sea with careful decor with a certain charm in relation to the destination and offers a standard much higher than the average Mercure found in France. There are notably Nuxe brand products in the bathroom, which are generally found in Mgallery and not in Mercure, so it's a nice surprise. The sea view side room is pleasant and spacious.
The hotel is very quiet to be underlined, which is all the more appreciable for sleeping well.
Breakfast is also a nice surprise. Many comments highlighted that it was plentiful, it is not just that. We must congratulate the quality and choice of products when we see the number of hotels which offer very standardized and industrial products. None of that here, 2 coffee machines including a Nespresso, a very wide choice of Palais des Thés teas, crepes with a fountain of salted butter caramel, pressed fruit juices, the list doesn't stop there. To top it all off, what a joy to have this landscape while having breakfast. Not only is the sea right in front of us but breakfast is offered in the Ruban Bleu restaurant, which has a charming setting.
Finally, the staff is very welcoming, always smiling and also presents the presence that one finds in more upscale hotels.
A little gem in this category from Accor.

We had dinner here on New Year’s Eve. The food was quite delicious, with a fixed menu (see picture). I was especially impressed with how they showcased the high quality of the vegetables in their dishes. The one thing that was missing was music to create a joyful, NYE celebratory vibe, but they don’t promote themselves or this dinner as one of entertainment so that’s on me. I would not come here expecting a casual “eat and drink with friends all night long” type of atmosphere. No large groups here. More on the quiet, very low key side. The food and suggested wine pairings were both well executed. [IG @sipsavorslay]

Hotel well located… but sea view room really small!!! Limit the toilets are in the shower ☹️☹️☹️. Lousy bed and soundproofing to be reviewed!
The breakfast is standard but deserves a larger buffet area. why not use local products??? Be careful, the room fills up quickly so you have to have lunch early if you don't want to end up with a lunch tray in another room (or you have to wait)!
Nice staff but that's not all given the price of the rooms. There's better in the sector!
