Perfect. We had a suite of huge rooms, each excellently decorated and comparable to the interiors of the surrounding Chateaux. The hotelier provided an unparalleled level of service; helpful and v. friendly.

This is a lovely hotel, charmingly decorated and set in beautiful surroundings. The gardens are wonderful and our host was friendly. The restaurant has good food and wine and the staff were kind, attentive and helpful (even with three hungry and somewhat wild kids in tow). Our rooms were, again, charming and were decorated in keeping with the building and...

WE stayed here at the end of a fine tour through France on two motorbikes and it was a brilliant last stop. This is a fine old Country House and owner still lives in the main house and is still around to help. The house has been in his family for many generations so authenticity is guaranteed! The place also...

Our party of 3 adult cyclists had a night here where we had an amazing dinner in the beautiful garden. The steak was delicious and I'm not usually a great fan. A very relaxing place. Our room was not in the main building but across the courtyard. It was presumably a family room and spoilt by the fact that the...

We visited this hotel twice during our two week visit to France. Situated in lovely countryside in the Loire valley. It was a very comfortable hotel and we had the benefit of two different rooms. Both were completely different in character and had period furniture and surprisingly NO TV. Yes it was nice to get away from everything. The wifi...

This is a lovely hotel located midway between Fontevraud-l'Abbaye and Montsoreau on 947. Upon parking small wagons are available to carry your luggage to your room. The receptionist was very cheerful and friendly. We had a large room with a big window opening out on the courtyard. The bathroom was also large and very adequate. There is a lovely restaurant...

This family-owned and -operated hotel is situated in a 17c farm, updated with taste. The people are friendly and welcoming, the rooms very quiet and well appointed, and the (optional) meals fabulous. A small telling detail: the phone is answered by the 8-year old daughter. And if you Christmas-shop at their artisanal soap factory, they'll ship it back home for you....
