We enjoyed our stay at this modern well appointed hotel. Rates were good and our family room had plenty of space for three adults. The staff were friendly and helpful and the lady who did the night desk went out of her way to help us get a restaurant booking for New Year's Eve. The hotel was difficult to find...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Comments about how convenient a hotel is depends very much on what you want to be close to. This hotel is perfect for central Rouen, for the cathedral, art gallery, shopping and restaurants, so, in a nutshell most tourist destinations in Rouen. Staff are helpful and friendly, rooms not too small, beds comfortable, bathrooms basic but adequate. Mercure regulars will...

The hotel is situated right by the main cathedral Rouen. it is within easy walking distance to all the sites and the main shopping strip. We did our own walking tour and completed it in just over 2hours covering all the historic areas of Rouen. We got a deal where the mini bar was free and received a room upgrade...

We stayed at the Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale Hotel for three nights in October, and there are lots of positives. We took a cab from the train station, so didn't have any difficulty getting to the hotel, and as claimed it is very close to the Cathedral - I'd say a ball's throw. The Mercure Centre was within walking distance...

Situated on a quiet, narrow street in Old Rouen and a few steps away from the Cathedral, this hotel is an ideal choice for business and pleasure travelers looking for a convenient and central location. The hotel is great because in the pedestrian area, but it's a problem to get there even with the navigator: after half hour I finally found a police patrol that brought me there. The hotel is a little bit old but well refurbished according the Mercure standard. Is in a great position, just two steps out the Cathedral.

We normally stay at the Novotel when travelling through and do so on a regular basis, so thought we would treat ourselves to something different and plumped for the Mercure. Probably won't bother again based on a number of factors, the main one being how difficult it is to find, even with Sat. Nav. had to stop a few people...

Despite a wonderful location we were disappointed with a couple of issues - the hairdryer was so weak and cold that it didn't work at all. The paper cups for morning tea were awful as was the absence of black tea which all British guests would like provided.
