We made a reservation at this "hotel' in September, 2013 for June 2014. We reserved with so many months in advance to make sure we had a place where to stay during the D-Day 70 years celebration. Two days before going to Caen we received an email saying that the hotel had to close its doors because the City found...

The Hotel is out of the city centre which makes it a bit quieter and the bus stop is very close by and return costs about 2 € and is very convenient. The hotel is quite small but the rooms are clean and on suit. The owner does not speak much english but with a little of your own you...

We weren't sure what to expect before arriving at this relatively cheap hotel, which seemed to be located out in the suburbs of Caen. The location is not exactly central, but overall the experience of staying here was perfectly enjoyable. The owner/concierge/chef/porter/receptionist gave us a very friendly welcome and showed us to our room which was quaint and clean. He...

We stayed two nights to explore Caen and the Normandy beaches. Room decor a little tired but pleasant, old fashioned furniture tho' getting upstairs was a bit difficult(husband banged his head and it was a bit narrow with cases)Comfortable, slept well, very quiet. Family run and the proprieters were very pleasant. The restaurant served some EXCELLENT food(including kangaroo) and wine....

Good value, nice quiet location, excellent parking. Myself and my wife were returning from the south to ship out from Cherbourg and we needed a handy reasonably priced (end of hols, empty pockets syndrome) place in Caen to rest-up overnight. We were very pleasantly suprised by the hotel Cyclades. While the decor in our room would win no awards it...

“I would suggest the rear facing rooms for additional quiet but the location was not noisy. Leave the car and take the bus to the centre. The hotel does not have a lot of tourist information that we saw an a map of the city would be useful to have a soon as possible.”
