The room was basic and clean (no toiletries, tissues, fridge or safe). The staff were very helpful and spoke English. They gave us an extra blanket and pillow and then offered us another room when we complained that the room was a bit cold and there was a problem with the sink plug not working. The breakfast was lovely and...

Was not completely pleased upon arrival. Had booked the room for two in advance, and soon realized we've been put in a room fit for minions. Went down to reception immediately, of course, and requested a proper sized room. The receptionist was very helpful and moved us to a much bigger room. Problem solved, good. She was also helpful when...

My sister and I stayed here for two nights while doing a William the Conqueror trip. I chose the hotel based on location and it really was perfect for our needs. While the room was a bit tatty, the reception staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. There are maps at the reception desk and staff...

Not a great deal to say about this place as we spent as little time in it as possible. Might sound unfair - certainly don't mean to - but the best bit about it for me was checking out. Staff all fine and efficient - one smile would have been nice - and there were no problems per se, but...

This hotel was in a central location to a lot of the northwest France sites of interest. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the DDay beaches, Mont Saint Michel and Bayeaux. The hotel staff was helpful and all spoke English which helped with questions and directions. The bed was comfy and the shower was awesome. Great size for...

This hotel reminds me of places I went to when I was a kid. It is stuck in a 1980s time warp and not much has changed in the intervening years although they have probably spent a few Francs on the bathrooms. The hotel is well situated but if you have a suitcase or use a wheelchair, beware. There is...

Excellent value hotel in the heart of Caen. A decent walk from the train station but close to everything. The rooms are modern and exceptionally clean. The area is very safe at night as well. Breakfast is a plus with very good European coffee and continental style offerings. Staff speak good English which is not as common as you might...

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way from Brittany to Dieppe. Room was clean with a comfy double bed and a single bed so ideal for our family. Shower was very good and the WiFi worked well for us. My only complaints were the lack of power sockets (only 1 in the room and 1 in the...
