In travelling back from visiting a friend in Brittany over a long weekend we wanted to find a hotel near to Cherbourg for our last night before getting the ferry back Found this in trip advisor and read some mixed reviews but decided on giving it a go Really pleased we did as for us it was an excellent stay...

We took full advantage of the offer from Britrany Ferries and enjoyed a three night break at the Bellefontaine. Despite the time of year, the experience was wonderful because the staff are helpful, the room was warm and spacious, the dining was excellent. Location is perfect, just outside the city centre, great for exploring Normandy and we cannot recommend the...

The Chateau is incredibly beautiful. We loved our stay here. The restaurant makes very delicious food. I would have given it 5 stars except for two details. One, they are a small inn, so they don't have a large staff to follow you around or provide extra services. That said, if they did then they would have to charge a...

This was a very nice and unique facility with geese, cows, ducks, etc. in streams and grounds in the area. Very nice vegetation surrounding the Chateux. The rooms were quite spacious and included a king size bed. The restaurant was quite good and intimate as well. The staff were very helpful. It was well-located for our semi-private guided tour of...

We spent a few nights in a duplex room. A duplex here is one bed, closet, half-bath (toilet/sink) downstairs, another bed upstairs, and the other half-bath (sink/shower) on a middle level just off the staircase. We were in a secondary building a short walk from the main building. Nothing fancy, but it was roomy, for the price. The beds were...

I spent two nights in one of the Duplex's which are located in a building just off to the side of the main building. Check in was very easy and quick (be aware if you arrive after 6 the desk in not staffed). The grounds are very scenic and picturesque. They showed me to my duplex which was very nice...

Did not live up to its ratings. We were in the side building and the holiday staff couldn't answer easy questions like "is breakfast included and if not, what much does it cost". When I asked for coffee, she said "don't you have a machine in your room?" No. We did not. We didn't have any wifi as was promised...

The gardens of this hotel are beautiful. We even saw a coypu among the swans, ducks and geese. The reception staff are very helpful although when we mentioned that we were unable to turn off the radiator in our room and we were far too hot nothing was done. When the hotel was busy the WiFi in our attic room...

We stayed in the converted accommodation next to the hotel (room 23) at the end of March. The idea of the barn conversion is great but the overall feeling was that owners fell out of love with the hotel. In the downstairs toilet there was a hole on the wall, shower head did not stay in place, kept falling down....
